😊: I liked that the host that is sending you messages every day that you consume to much electricity. I also like that she is holding your deposit money for any reason.. 😢: Distant from Paris, high traffic stress, and an unjustified €1,000 deposit dispute. We chose this villa for a family trip to visit Paris and attend a show, but the overall experience turned out to be incredibly stressful. Difficult Location & Traffic: Potential guests should be aware that this property is very far from Paris. Commuting into the city was highly stressful due to constant heavy traffic, regularly turning what should have been a shorter trip into a grueling two-hour drive each way. Real-time Monitoring: The villa itself is covered in strict rules posted on almost every wall, making it feel unwelcoming. Furthermore, the host tracks utility consumption in real time. While we were stuck in traffic two hours away, we received multiple messages about our AC and light usage. Knowing our daily habits were being monitored from afar made our stay feel very uncomfortable and lacking in privacy. Deposit and Renovation Claims: We paid a €1,000 security deposit via PayPal. Despite leaving the house in good condition—dishes washed, floors swept, and garbage thrown out—the host is withholding the entire deposit. She sent a photo of a single piece of paper left on the bathroom floor as a reason for cleaning fees, and is now claiming she needs to repaint the walls and replace furniture entirely at our expense using our deposit. We strongly deny causing any such damage. We are currently resolving this through the formal booking.com dispute process. I have stayed in hundreds of properties worldwide and have never experienced this combination of logistical stress and host micromanagement. If you want a relaxing holiday close to Paris without risking your deposit, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. Book a hotel or a place they don’t ask so much money because is easier and stress free. This is the last in my life where I will pay so much money for deposit..
