Villa 12-15 pers, mountain view, private pool, WiFi, calm, 15 min from the beach

Our group of 10 had a fantastic holiday last week in Sorède. The outdoor area was great, the pool area was super and would be improved further with a few additional sun loungers. We barbecued and ate outside each night and it was great. There’s a large outdoor dining table. The accommodation was very good. 2 good sized and well fitted out shower rooms. 2 kitchen areas which were spacious and well equipped. The cooling floor is good but the bedrooms were warm at night. It’s less effective than air conditioning, it helps to an extent. We’ve suggested additional fans to help with cooling the rooms at night. The rooms on the top floor were particularly warm. We walked to the town each morning to get fresh pastries and bread. Some of the walk is on the road although it’s mostly quiet. We found it a really good walk. The hosts recommended a bakery in Saint André, the next town. That would be more than a walk. There is a good Intermarche with petrol station in Saint André. There are some good but challenging walks from the property into the hills. Take plenty of water, it will be hot! We loved the beach at Argelés Sur Mer. The coastline here is stunning. We would recommend this property and the hosts were very helpful. Maria responded helpfully to any questions that we had both before and after booking and during our stay.

Nice place to stay and chill with friends and kids

The property is in a beautiful location surrounded by mountains and it’s very peaceful. Maria was on hand to help us settle in and show us around the property. She was very kind and even brought us some food to cook for the children, as we had arrived late and most of the shops were shut. We were surprised to find that the property is actually 2 apartments as this wasn’t clear in the listing. This wasn’t an issue for us as we were travelling with another family so we took one apartment each and shared the main living space upstairs. The underfloor cooling worked well upstairs but not well downstairs. Luckily it wasn’t too hot while we were there. Also condensation formed on the floors to the point where my son slipped over on more than one occasion even though we kept the windows closed as instructed. The apartments were well equipped and we ate in most nights as planned and used the bbq. The seating area overlooking the pool and mountains was lovely. The pool was fantastic and a very good size. The children had a fantastic time playing in it. There is a lot to see in the area and this was a great base to explore from. We would recommend this property for a relaxing peaceful holiday with a good variety of places to visit within the area.

The house in la vallée heureuse is very nice. It's very calm. The hous is clean and has everything for your stay.
