Lovely property, very close to the beach and an easy bus ride into the centre of Sète

Our family had a wonderful two week stay at the Villa Mathis. Magali and Pierre were great, and very helpful, hosts - the welcoming chilled gifts in the fridge were greatly appreciated! The villa is in a quiet street and a perfectly located 5-minute walk to the fabulous stretch of beaches nearby, and close to shops (Auchan, Lidl, Spar), an excellent boulangerie and restaurants (try La Ola on the beach and La Senne & Oh Gobie on the quay in Sete). There are nearby bus routes into Sete, Mt St Clair and beyond. We also used the Villa Mathis bicycles for a 25km return expedition, along the path between the beach and L'Etang de Thau, to Marseillan Plage (excellent lunch at Marina Bay.) Merci encore beaucoup!

We had a fabulous week in the villa, which suited all members of the family. The pool is delightful. Our two year old loved it, almost as much as the toys in the house! The roof terrace views are superb and the proximity to the beach is a real treat. So convenient. We would like to return one day.

Magali and Pierre are fantastic and attentive hosts. They provided a warm welcome (with some refreshments in the fridge for us as a complementary welcome gift). We had some issues with the front room blinds, but Magali and Pierre were quick to respond and resolved the issue quickly for us. The villa itself is beautiful and we all had a very comfortable stay. The pool and amazing view from the rooftop both made our stay so special. The bikes are handy to have on hand for when we need to go to the shops or just want to explore further. All in all, we have loved our experience here, and would love to come back to Sete for another stay next year. Thank you so much Magali and Pierre!

Nous avons beaucoup aimé la situation de la maison de Magali, très proche de la belle grande plage longue de 12kms. Le logement est très fonctionnel, confortable, bien équipé (il y a même des vélos). La petite piscine est un vrai plus pour se rafraichir. Merci à Pierre pour son accueil et sa gentillesse.

We stayed at Villa Mathis for a week during our holiday in France. Given we are a family with two young children (aged 2 and 4), this was by far the most child-friendly house we've stayed at. There were toys, an outdoor playhouse, gates for the stairs, and pool floaties we could use during our stay. The roof deck is amazing for morning play, evening sunsets, and drying clothes rapidly. The kitchen had everything we need to make our meals without ordering out or going to restaurants every day, and the garden had a charcoal grill and al fresco dining table. In addition to the walkable beach access, there is a great municipal pool 500m away as well as a bakery and weekly farmer's market we could walk to. We would happily come back and stay here, and recommend it to other families on holiday!
