Villa 4 pour 12personnes, piscine , Bassin d'Arcachon, LaTeste

The house was very spacious and well equipped except for the lack of a grill but we managed to get by without one. The mini apartment was very useful for our daughter with small children. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We were joined by our daughters their husbands and two grandchildren for part of our stay . The pool was a great place to play although it wasn’t really deep enough for a serious swim. It was in a quiet location and the garden was well screened and private. The beach at La Hume was about a 15 minute walk away as were the local shops and restaurants and the station. If you don’t want to drive everywhere it was simple to go by train up and down the Bassin d’Arcachon.

We were an extended family party of 6 adults and 5 children aged 5 years and under. The home was absolutely ideal for us; spacious bedrooms, good living spaces very well equipped throughout and a lovely pool and garden. We chose to bring a second cot and high chair because we had 2 infants aged 10 months. The pool was ideal for young children and well secured to keep them safely away from it when not in use. At first we were slightly concerned that the property wasn't near enough to either local shops or the beaches - but in fact it was no problem to use cars to get to several different beaches nearby and the shops of La Teste de Buch. Arcachon and its surroundings are splendid for beaches, activities, cycling and relaxing. We spent 2 weeks there and thoroughly recommend it.
