Villa à Saint-Gilles avec piscine

We’ve done a lot of large group holidays and this was one of the best in terms of space both inside and out. The pool was amazing and the house traditionally old and French having been used as a farmstead and spa hotel. Most of the rooms are situated around the pool and are large and beautiful with excellent air con and bathrooms. There are then 4 self contained gites in the grounds perfect if some of the group require a bit more privacy and peace. (Still excellent air con although wifi restricted) Mosquito repellent is needed for evenings. We spent our evenings in the huge lounge/great hall with its massive tables (perfect for a traitors round table) and bar. Moving the ping pong to the great hall was a winner as cooler and less mosquitoes. WiFi better in main hall and certain bedrooms/pool areas. Kitchen well equipped with a replace what you use culture. We found it very useful having some French speaking people with us as the house keeper doesn’t speak English. Glass bins are a 2km drive (turn left out of the farm). It would appear the only recycling is plastic bottles, paper and card in the general waste. Horses and donkeys in the grounds and a very friendly cat. Great BBQ. Part of the house is a private residence which we only discovered on the last night during a power outage when the owners suddenly appeared to sort the power out but I don’t think they are there all the time! A little spooky but added to the atmosphere and mystery of such a wonderful property. Some nice places to visit all within 30-60minutes. Supermarkets 20-30minute away with nearest in St Gilles. We usually try a new area each year but we would definitely consider returning here as it’s by far one of the best we’ve been to.

We were 25 people aged 0 to 80, and we truly enjoyed a week at Domaine de la Fosse! A charming and rustic place with space for all. Both children and adults enjoyed the swimming pool. The rooms/apartments were lovely. We had one minor issue with a toilet that didn't work - that was solved the next morning. Since we were one big party, our only complaint/suggestion for improvement was in the kitchen. There is only one standard sized fridge, with over 20 people, we missed an extra fridge. Alltogether a lovely place for a family holiday!

Nice place to hold a seminar with around 10 persons.
