Villa Champenoise en Plein Cœur du Vignoble Champenois 1er cru

First, the positives..the place is very clean and spacious with a large modern well-stocked kitchen and nice bright, modern bathrooms. The backyard was roomy and there was a nice view of the church tower. Now the negatives: the house is not cozy or homey at all because literally every open space is covered with bottles and advertising of their champagne company. This was not appreciated by anyone in our party, but if that’s what the owner prefers, then why not provide a welcome bottle of champagne for your guests? Secondly, The host is bizarrely aloof and unresponsive. We couldn’t find the washer and dryer despite being listed as an amenity, and he NEVER replied to any of our inquires. The housekeeper finally let us in the locked laundry room when she came by to do some work (a little odd while we are staying there). The wifi was terrible and we had a lot of difficulty communicating with family, which was awful because a new baby was born back home while we were there. In summary, I cannot recommend this place despite its nice location and good condition because the host was disappointing and the place was basically an infomercial for his champagne brand.

Property was lovely-just as the photos Contacted host for local recommendations ahead of trip…no reply Contacted host for checkin details…no reply Contacted host again for checkin details…no reply Phoned host for checkin details-phone off. Finally hear from host 3 hrs before checkin. WiFi not working…contacted host…no reply Contacted hosts again for wifi…got a reply but no help and ignored my message asking for help. No wifi for whole of stay. Last morning shower flooded through to kitchen flooding the floor, cabinets and sideboards and fusing all electricity …contacted host…NO REPLY!! The host is just terrible-no interest whatsoever. If you have no need for contact with the host wonderful-a great stay!

We had 5 adults and 3 kids and it was great to be out in the country side. The backyard is awesome. The only odd things is it has 3 showers but only 2 water closets. Would go back again.

Super séjour dans ce gîte très spacieux et agréable,chacun à son espace privé et un salon commun pour se retrouver J’avais mon petit chien qui est accepté dans de gîte et comme le jardin est bien cloisonné aucune soucis Un lieu où nous reviendrons avec plaisir

Très belle et spacieuse maison, parfaitement située au coeur d'un joli village au milieu des vignobles et tout proche de Reims. Jolie décoration, tout confort et équipement, linge de lit et de toilette de qualité. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Un détail, il n'est pas très clair dans l'annonce qu'une chambre est dans la cour de la maison et nécessite de sortir de la maison pour y accéder lorsque location pour 9/10 personnes (mais à deux pas !)

Well-renovated, spacious and comfortable house, generally well stocked for holiday-makers( we left a few tips for items that could be added). The back patio was ideal for gathering to share champagne and snacks, with a lovely view of the church. The local restaurant (Coq et Vin) was excellent - we went twice. Well placed for visiting Reims, Epernay and the wonderful smaller champagne houses in this fabulous area.
