😊: The house is tastefully decorated on the inside and at first glance seems to have some nice accessories like a comfortable, large couch, giant TV, pinball games, .... 😢: The house: the attic hatch was left open above the children's bedroom and the children's bathroom, so insulation fibres were falling down into both rooms; the air conditioning ducts run through that same space. Every member of the family developed irritation of the eyes, nose, throat and skin, with a lot of sneezing and coughing; my partner had blood crusts in her nose. The children's bathroom smelled of sewage after showering. The house was not clean on arrival (extractor hood, sinks, bath, shower, windows, cutlery and crockery; the bathroom bin was still full). The air conditioning condensate pump kicked in every minute, which made sleeping impossible, and there was a constant ticking noise from the unit in the living room. Water pressure and temperature alternated every two seconds. A floor tile in the bathroom was broken open. Etc... The garden: the pool was cloudy and full of white particles, and lost so much water that it had to be topped up every day — leaving the water cold and dirty. The ground is largely construction rubble, partly covered with artificial grass, partly unmaintained. Building materials were stacked behind the garage (PVC pipes, panels). There was no shade apart from one worn and broken parasol. The lounge set was broken and had no cushions, so was extremely uncomfortable. Paint and rust were flaking off the barbecue and ended up in our food. The surroundings: almost constant noise, clouds of dust and a strong smell of fuel coming from behind and beside the house (cars, a truck, a tractor, compressors, tools). A container full of waste and old materials stood right next to the hedge. We left a day early, so we could spend a night in a decent hotel, catch some sleep and swim in a clean and well-maintained pool. When asking the owner for compensation, he threatened with a law suit, claiming he had activated his lawyer (citing irrelevant articles of defamation by the way)..
