At first the host looked friendly and nice. However the more I communicated with her the more it felt weird. Multiple times I had to reassure her that we will clean the house. She kept adding charges for everything for example if we use a little bit more electricity for air conditioner (it can get hot there) then it will be extra again. The house itself is nice, but she left everywhere notes saying of what not to do and what to do. But she left almost broken hammock and didn’t tell us anything about it, which almost left us injured and she even asked us to pay for it. We are family and we came to rest there, we were very careful with everything yet she still was very angry. The host even screamed at my family members when she came to take the keys. Started saying that everything is not right, pushed everyone and even kicked us out asking to never come back. We had to record everything because we knew that with this kind of behavior she might blame us for more things. It was horrible experience, we only wanted to rest and yet we felt frightened. I really hope that no other guests will experience this.

My family and I had a great time at Marie's villa. The big plus of this house is the outdoor, garden and wood deck, very pleasant dining al fresco and the layout of the place on one floor that is enjoyable as everyone has their own independence and separate place. The location of the house is ideal in my sense as it is quiet and hidden from the tourists, yet a quick and pleasant bike trip (5-10 min) to all the amenities, market, beach, etc. of the town of Cap ferret. The house is well decorated and appointed. All the beds and linen in the house are comfortable. A special mention for the comfortable and pretty master bedroom with its own bathroom which is rarely found in older French houses. The owner, Marie, is friendly and very easy to talk to. She responds very quickly to any inquiries and emails. We had such a great stay in Marie's villa that we are coming back this year!

We had the pleasure to stay in this charming house in June 2014. The house itself is located at the heart of the 44 ha area and very closed to the Bassin beach which is ideal for young kids or casual morning walks. The terrasse is a great living space to host and the house is well decorated with personal and warm touch. We were pleasantly welcomed by the owner and the house offered a comfortable stay for our families from overseas who visited the Arcachon Bay for the first time. It is an ideal stay for a large family with independant bedrooms leading to the surrounding terrasse. The kitchen could have been larger but that's a detail in view of the overall property.
