We only stayed at the property for an hour! The check-in by the host was fine, but once we looked around in more detail, we could not have stayed. The standard of cleanliness was appalling. There were too many things to mention in this review, but there were hairs on the bedsheets and bedside table, crockery was not clean and inside of drawers in kitchen and bedroom were filthy. The property was also not as advertised. There is no AC, but rather an underfloor water cooling system, which we were advised to turn on once the temperature reached 30 degrees, and turn off again went it returned to 25! The garden is not fully enclosed and one of our dogs escaped shortly after arrival, which was incredibly stressful. Additional concerns were a trip hazard around the pool from an ill-fitting filter cover and a dangerous, open drop at the side of the pool to the drive below.We secured the property and left, as the problems were insurmountable in our opinion, and to avoid confrontation. On advising the hosts we had left, they accused us of leaving the doors unsecured, endangering their property, and of being irrational and uncivil, with the additional threat of contacting the gendarmerie to report our behaviour. They also accused us of being in breach of contract as we had 2 dogs, however we have email evidence of them accepting the dogs prior to booking.Property does not resemble the photos online and hosts are not to be trusted. Vrbo have issued us a full refund!

Short drive or train ride from the city but far enough away to be a private and quiet location.Lovely modern house with all amenities. Great private pool, not overlooked.Owners easy to communicate with (despite language barrier).Air conditioning is under floor cooling system
