The property is spacious and well equipped, if a little worn in parts. The listing is a little misleading as tennis and golf are not at the property and the boat mentioned did not look very useable. It is a pity that direct access to the beach is not possible since the cliff has collapsed. The view is beautiful. It is a 15 minute walk into town for the bakery and a range of restaurants, and a short drive to many places of interest. The owners were most welcoming.

This house really is splendid and perfect for our needs. Our holiday was to celebrate Grandma's big birthday. We were 5 adults and 4 children. The configuration of the bedrooms was exactly right for us. The children were in heaven with secure gardens and plenty of games and toys. The continually changing views, the sea with it's tides, the sunrises and sunsets made it the most memorable holiday. Claude and Marie-Madeleine welcomed us on our arrival and showed us around and this was really appreciated. Some of us went to the local seafood markets for oysters and mussels and we all enjoyed the local beaches and restaurants. Shopping was easy and we had no problems during our stay. Recent storms had deposited quite a lot of seaweed on the beach and at times this had rather a strong smell, but it didn't spoil our enjoyment of the holiday. We'll never forget this special house.

The owner (Claude) and his wife made us feel so welcome when we arrived taking time to show us around all the house and its facilities. The house was perfect for our group of 10 adults, a mixture of couples and retired folk. The house location, on the eastern edge of Grandcamp, overlooking the sea and next to open fields was the perfect base for us to visit the many places commemorating the WW2 Allied invasion of Normandy set amongst the beautiful countryside. The house is very well equipped and spaciously accommodated our group. The secluded gardens were perfect for an evening BBQ watching the sun set over the Marcouf Islands. Plenty of room for parking too. We also brought our boat which we moored in the marina at Grandcamp-Maisy just 5 minutes drive away. The house was even nicer than described with ample room for our large group. We ate in most nights to relax and enjoy the good company of our friends. The well equipped kitchen, and quality BBQ made this easy. We also did a lot of photography and it was great to be able to set up a photo processing suite in the library next to our bedroom in order to process 3D photogrammetry images. I would like to thank Claude and Marie-Madeline for their very warm welcome. I would definitely recommend the house for a large group, including children.

Merci beaucoup

Property was excellent home located on edge of Grand Camp-Maisy overlooking the English Channel. Ideally situated for D-Day related activities. Grand Camp lovely small town of approx. 1500, with grocer, excellent fish market, butcher and baker, as well as several restaurants. We were there for D-Day +70, so lots of people everywhere, but the house was, in my opinion, as comfortable as one would want, with fire place and furniture to enjoy the outdoors. Claude was there to meet us, and showed us the ins and outs of the home, as well as the lay out of the town. As I told him, I hope to see him again, sooner than later. Highly recommend.
