Villa En Roussillon-Gargas. Parfait pour ceux qui recherchent détente et repos

We had the best holiday staying at this beautiful home nestled in the tranquil forest. We stayed with friends and had four kids under 3 and it was the perfect mix of swimming, forest walks and relaxation (despite the kids!). The house was gorgeous and very modern inside. Pierre also kindly helped us organise a babysitter who the kids adored. We couldn’t recommend this property enough, you won’t be disappointed!

This place was amazing, the outdoor space, the pool, the modern kitchen, and the location! Set in the forest, and surrounded by walking trails AND withing a 30 min drives a lots of quaint towns, this home was superb. We hope to return next year!

We stayed in May/June with two families and a dog. The villa ist perfectly suited for two families, it is located in the woods with only one other neighbor around. The villa fits perfectly in the natural environment, the garden is beautiful and the pool is perfect. Two caveats: this year it was quite rainy, which is unusual. So the pathway to the villa was washed out and more like a dirt road. And the veranda could use some rain cover :-) If you come with dogs, be aware the villa is in the middle of the (beautiful) nature and the area is not enclosed. We had a splendid time and communication with the owner Pierre via messenger was nice, helpful and responsive.

This is the best, most amazing, fabulous retreat ever! The pool is GORGEOUS- the setting is idyllic and so relaxing. A beautiful garden, wonderful house, we want to return again and again. Pierre was brilliant to communicate with and super helpful. You couldn’t ask for more, surrounded by beautiful woodland walks, the house is well equipped and close to many lovely villages-it is an amazing holiday haven. Thank you Pierre, such a treat to stay here, we LOVED it.

What a lovely home and special place. We are a family of four with 2 young children, and could not have been more pleased with our stay. The house is large, comfortable and enjoyable for a family. We cooked nearly all our meals and found the kitchen well enough equipped. The truly unique quality of this home is the location, nestled in a beautiful, fragrant wood with an abundance of good hiking on well-established trails right out of the backyard. We were surprised and thrilled to see so many trails, and the children of course were delighted with the endless exploration possibilities. The town of Gargas is an extremely short drive away, with all the essentials--a restaurant/cafe, fabulous boulangerie, mini grocery store and post office, as well as a farmer's market on Fridays. We were already quite familiar with the area and chose it accordingly, but cannot emphasize enough what a terrific location this home is for relaxing and so central to all the sites and villages of interest. The hosts were gracious and thoughtful, and very prompt with all communication. Everything in the house was well-kept, in order and thoughtful. A gem.
