"Villa l'Amboise" charm and comfort in Baie de Somme for 10 people

The property was lovely, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Valerie and Christian were very helpful and friendly and gave us lots of information on the local area. The market in St Valery on Sunday morning was a particular highlight with wonderful fresh local produce and the bakery in the next village is well worth a visit. The Baie de Somme is stunningly beautiful and the small towns are lovely, with lots to explore and do.

For more than 50 years we four friends have been meeting every 2 years - this time in the beautiful holiday home l'Amboise. We really enjoyed the 7 days on the large property with a wonderful garden and a great Boulle alley. Everyone had a large room with an own bathroom. We spent the days relaxed with many good conversations, lots of good wine, home-made food and boulle. Some excursions in the area rounded off the stay. Among other things, Valerie organized us a day tour with brand-new e-bikes from a local rental company - thanks again for that, Valerie. We always prefer staying in a village to a city with the usual traffic noise. But it shouldn't bother you if the dog next door barks. The kitchen is well equipped with enough crockery for a larger group. The communication with Valerie before the trip and on site was exemplary and extremely friendly.

A most enjoyable break (4 couples - 8 people) in a well appointed Villa in a great location and parking for 4 cars. A large, well maintained garden within easy reach of St Valery and local amenities. Would recommend.

Very welcoming owners who live opposite toured the house with us and made us feel very much at home. House is fully modernised and ideal for our families totalling 5 adults and 4 children. Surrounding gated garden was ideal for our dog who almost 'nosed' the cow in the adjoining field. Location is convenient for St Valery or Cayeux wih several supermarkets at 5 minutes drive. We even had family petanque contests on the special 'pitch' Parking for 3 or 4 cars also very convenient in front drive.

Easy journey from the tunnel taking just over an hour! Hosts met us early and welcomed us into their beautiful cottage, and even gave us a fab cake of the region! Valerie and Christian both spoke great English and gave us lots of advice and helpful hints on the area and where to eat. The accommodation was perfect for my aged parents (one of which has sever mobility issues) daughter and our border collie. 2 bedrooms were on the ground floor and all bathrooms were newly finished with super showers and seperate toilets. The property featured lots of Christian's fantastic artwork which added a lovely family feel to the property, he's even done exhibitions! Amazing! The garden was a great feature - being totally and securely enclosed for our lovely border collie. There was also a large table and bbq for warm days. The property is really close to saint valery sur somme which has a beautiful port, great stream train and a plethora of yummy restaurants. Thoroughly recommend the property and the fabulous welcoming hosts..we had a fantastic time. Thankyou x

Owners were fabulous to deal with! Checking in and out was so easy. House was super clean, spacious and only 3 minutes to St. Valery sur Somme. St. Valery sur Somme has just been voted the 2nd prettiest town in all of France, a definite must see. Make sure you walk the town of St. Valery sur Somme and explore. Also make sure to take the boat tour and sight see St. Valery from the water side too. From this house in Pende you are close to lots of area attractions, supermarkets, quaint little shops. House is situated on a quiet street in the small town of Pende. Would definitely rent this house again, highly recommended to all travelers.

Weeks holiday enjoyed by the whole family from 3yrs to 65yrs. Accommodation was excellent, had everything you would require. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Size of garden was everything required for the whole family, ie BBQ, seating and eating areas, pétanque court, washing line and bicycles. Location excellent for beaches and historical excursions. Would happily return for another holiday.

Our expectations were totaly met, as shown in the photo's and described on the web. Very helpful and nice owners; correct and involved, prepared to give all possible information. A house, well equiped with supplies, comfort and suitable for (a) family(ies). Lots of space, and this with enough privacy at the one hand, and enough common space(inside and outside) at the other hand. This all in a quiet environment. Starting point for all kind of excursions in a beautiful and various region. We highly recommend !
