Villa luxe grande piscine privative calme proche centre ville

My husband and I stayed in Pierre's lovely house for a little over 3 weeks this July and August (2023), with our small dog. The house is very well situated, being around a 15 minute walk into Vence with only some slight inclines. The house has everything you might need and the pool area is just lovely. Pierre was a charming and tolerant host - I say tolerant as our Jack Russell was something of a nuisance at times and he was very gracious in the way he handled him. Having off-road parking was very helpful and the residence feels exceptionally safe. We liked having different areas to sit/eat and there is always somewhere in shade, even on the hottest days. The air conditioning is great, and the new units in the bedrooms made sleeping very easy. A nice modern bathroom with a walk-in shower was also very welcome. Both a Carrefour and a Mr Bricolage are within walking distance and I would definitely recommend driving just a few minutes up the road to Tourettes Sur Loup - beautiful views! Overall, I would recommend this lovely house to couples, families and dog owners - I just hope your dog is a little quieter than ours! Super pool and garden, quiet neighborhood and easy acceess to vence town short walking distance, everything you need in the kitchen. Cleaning inside could be better e.g. Carpets, blankets, sofa. We enjoyed our stay very much and Will love to be back

This property, the ground floor of a house, is set in a lovely residential area, approx 10-15 mins walk away from Vence old town. The outside space has just been updated to include a beautiful large pool & large patio areas & this is certainly the best feature of the property, as you can find sun or shade in the different areas at all times of day. Inside is not contemporary but has a homely feel. There is everything you would need & more, in terms of kitchen equipment. The main bedroom, with the ensuite bathroom looks out onto the pool. There is no hanging space for clothes in here but it can found a few steps away in the dining room. The second bedroom did not look as inviting but as it was not used on this trip, not a problem. The lounge / dining area is spacious and has air-con. However, even with temperatures approaching 40 degrees, keeping shutters closed during the day, kept property cool. The host, Pierre, was friendly and around if needed but did not disturb the stay. The neighbours, not that you see then from the property, appeared friendly if you saw them in the road....indeed one neighbour was kind enough to drop off a large jar of honey as she welcomed me to France. There are minor things that could be improved, for example, the addition of a folder containing information about local area, maybe a visiotors book where guests could recommend local restaurants or sightseeing opportunities, new kitchen cleaning scrubbers, board games, towels that match......but you can see I am talking about minor things here. I would recommend this property & host if you are looking for a quiet location with plenty of outdoor space but in a spot where you get to lots of interesting places in under a hour; Nice, Monaco, Grasse, Cap Saint Jean Ferrat, St Paul, to name a few.
