Villa Maryvon - Four-Bedroom House

😊: We’re just back from a lovely stay at Villa Maryvon. The house is very well laid out and felt very spacious. We are a family of four, but the house would comfortably accommodate 8 without feeling cramped. The kitchen had everything we needed and the dining area had a lovely large dining table for everyone to sit down together. The living room was extremely spacious with sliding patio doors to let the fresh air in. And just off the dining room there is a room with a pool table. There is a very handy laundry room fitted out with everything you need, and all the bathrooms and bedrooms are clean and well presented giving you everything you need on holiday. Outside there is lots of seating and a small grassed area at the e back. As for the location, the house is set in a pretty little neighbourhood that’s 10 minutes walk from the historic centre of Auray. Auray itself is a lovely little town. It’s not very touristy which we really liked, and it’s lovely to walk around. My wife actually got up early each day to go for a run down the coast, and there were quite a few other runners out and about too. There are great supermarkets within 10 mins drive, but also more local shopping in Auray. And Brittany itself has so many wonderful places to visit. For us a highlight was the West Park water park where the kids went Tele-skiing for the first time. They loved it so we went back quite a few times. Valérie was very responsive to all our email communications so was a great host. We will definitely be looking to come back next year and explore more of the area.. 😢: There was a heatwave and it was very hot. But the house had fans in the bedrooms so the nights weren't so bad..

😊: The villa is spacious well equipped fantastically situated and really comfortable – we found it excellent in every way. We had everything we needed - and lots more. The standards of all facilities are high. There is a dedicated laundry, and study. wifi was good. outside, We parked on the quiet cul be sac, or on the drive.The house is peaceful and private , but only a moment’s short easy walk to Auray centre. Auray is a charming well established town., with plenty of alluring shops, and good places to eat., from a Michelin recognised restaurant (5 min stroll from Maryvon) ,to town centre restaurants with terraces, serving delicious fish and meat. There is a tidal harbour a short walk away. A wealth of lovely beaches are an easy drive from the villa.. 😢: there was nothing not to like!.

😊: Spacious house in nice neighborhood, well located to local attractions. Comfortable and well appointed, however some of the appliances are quite dated.. 😢: Hosts could be more generous with some basic amenities such as toilet paper, garbage bags, etc. Too many old kitchen appliances which are unlikely to be used by guests. The towels had a musty smell and needed to be washed again..
