Villa Mas de Bouis - Belle, grande, vues, piscine chauffee

A beautiful house and an excellent pool area. All the bedrooms are practical and the air conditioners work really good. Very helpful host.

Pretty quiet and lovely home for us.

Mas de Bouis is a fabulous property tucked away on the outskirts of the delightful village of St Martin de Londres. The villa is on the edge of acres of woodland allowing you to enjoy walks with stunning views of Pic St Loup. You can also walk through this woodland to the town but this is a good 25-30 minutes at a brisk pace although quite enjoyable when the weather is not too hot. The location is ideal for touring around the many wonderful sites of the L’Herault and Le Gard region with several a short drive away, e.g. Les Grottes des Demoiselles, St Guilhelm le Desert, Gorges de l’Herault. Visiting Montpellier is easy and we found the Parking + Tram to be a great way to get into town. The property itself is well laid out and with bedrooms split either side of the living space is ideal for two families. It is very well equipped and the pool is fabulous. Both Daniel, the owner and Aziz, the housekeeper could not be more helpful or charming and were very quick to respond. Six kids loved their time there and with the help of our apple TV and the free wi-fi were able to watch TV on the rare occasion they were not in the pool or on the play equipment. Beds are comfortable with beautiful cotton bed linen and feather pillows. Plenty of large clean towels. Fans and shutters to keep out the heat in every bedroom. A few minor snags. The place is too large for one person to thoroughly clean in a day. Some repairs are needed to the loose slabs around the pool and during our stay of 2 weeks the pool could have done with an interim clean. Some mosquito blinds are broken and the gate kept jamming open. There is no doubt, that the master bedroom with en-suite is far superior to all the others. The bathroom on the opposite side of the house really could do with replacing. In general, some refurbishment is required. That said, both families spent a truly relaxing, rejuvenating, wonderful time in this idyllic corner of the Languedoc and ours would certainly not hesitate to return. We particularly enjoyed the family of hedgehogs feeding on the apples by the pool at night. We loved market days and nights in St Martin, sipping a coffee in the town square and can highly recommend Chez Tony for a family meal and Accent du Soleil for very fine dining. We were holidaying with five groups from the same extended family and the size and location was great. The kids (aged 7 months to 3 years) loved the pool and the fact there were things to do like trampolining and a climbing frame. The local village was well equipped (bakery, nice market, take away pizza, grocery store etc) and there were lots of caves and villages to visit in the surrounding area. Daniel, the owner was really prompt at replying to queries and helping where needed. We really enjoyed it!

Very much enjoyed our stay at the villa. It is in a lovely natural setting, with some amazing views. About a 5min drive to the local village and 30mins to Montpellier which has some great attractions. We were a party of 8 adults and 7 young kids and had enough space including a great pool which the kids loved.

We've had an excellent weekend in a comfortable vast house with pleasant bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchen.The children had a lot of fun in the swimming-pool and we appreciated the terrace with the barbecue for our 14 people meals. The owner and his local assistant were very friendly,helpful and efficient.

The private estate is so beautiful and quiet. Views from the lovely, spacious, well appointed villa are amazing. Pool is great, and gardens are spacious with plenty of outdoor seating. Owner and concierge are both very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Area is beautiful and interesting. Guilheim Le Desert is well worth a visit, as is the tree top adventure park nearby.
