Villa Mimaël

😊: We booked the villa very last-minute, on the same day of arrival. Some important details were actually mentioned in the description on Booking, but we completely missed them — for example, there is no internet in the house! It’s written deep down in the listing, but honestly, we didn’t even think to check — who would imagine a modern holiday rental without Wi-Fi in 2025? Another major downside is that there’s no air conditioning. During our stay, the temperature was between 30–35°C, and the house gets very hot. At night, it was almost impossible to sleep. As for basic amenities — we were given just one nearly empty bottle of hand soap, even though the house has several bathrooms. No shower gel was provided, and there was only half a roll of toilet paper when we arrived. The kitchen extraction fan didn’t work, and the downstairs bathroom (where we mostly stayed) was in poor condition — the faucets were old and peeling. On the positive side, the outdoor area looks like the photos, except that the nice wooden table shown has been replaced with a cheap plastic one. The kitchen layout matches the pictures, but the SMEG appliances were clearly just for the photos — they’ve all been removed. The host speaks only French, so communication was a bit difficult and awkward for us. Overall — if you’re considering this place, bring a fan and a wine opener (there wasn’t one either 😄).
