Villa on Arcachon Bay

😊: Nothing. This was a distressing and unsafe experience for my family. The host’s behaviour was unacceptable and is now under police investigation.. 😢: Absolutely Appalling – Stay Away for Your Safety! Our stay was an absolute nightmare from the moment we arrived. I booked this property specifically because it listed air conditioning as a feature, which is medically necessary for my son. I even contacted the host after booking to double-check, and she assured me it was working. We arrived to find the air conditioning completely non-functional. She turned up around 7pm to try to fix it, and by 10pm finally admitted it wasn’t going to work. She also casually mentioned the WiFi was broken too – something she clearly knew before we arrived. It got much worse. I discovered a live camera mounted on the wall of the children’s bedroom. I immediately messaged her for an explanation – no reply. The following morning, at 6:30am, she entered the property uninvited and began shouting at us in the living room about my request for a refund. I asked her to leave as we weren’t even dressed, but instead, she forced her way into my teenager’s bedroom and yelled at them to get out. She then began throwing our belongings out, cut the electricity, and sat in the doorway preventing us from leaving. We were forced to pack up quickly and flee the property with our traumatised children, nearly two hours before the official checkout time. I have reported her to Booking.com and the local police, who are now investigating her for three separate charges. It is horrifying that Booking.com continues to list this property. I urge anyone reading this: DO NOT STAY HERE. Protect your family and stay far away from this host and property. I will continue to pursue this until Booking.com stops enabling this dangerous situation..
