😊: The location is lovely with beautiful views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains, with a variety of bird life outside. A short walk to the local village with numerous privately run wineries. A 10 m drive to St Florent, a small town with restaurants and beaches & a 20 m drive (via winding mountain roads) to Bastia, a small city with an atmospheric old town. The large, clean, modern villa is privately set with plenty of useful equipment. The pool is lovely - we especially liked the use of salt rather than chlorine - and large enough to enjoy a proper swim. It also has comfy sun loungers set on a large decking area and a hammock hung next to the pool - nice for chilling out! The chap who handed over the keys was very welcoming, providing plenty of local information and available during our stay to answer questions.. 😢: The pool was unheated but this is probably the norm for most villas but when visiting in the spring & autumn, a bit of heating would be a nice extra! The shower head holders were broken in both bathrooms, which required a make shift fix so some extra attention to the maintenance would be good. We personally didn’t like that the master bedroom had no door (just a curtain) to the en-suite bathroom but if you’re happy to hear each other going to the loo then you’ll be fine! Nothing to do with the villa but good to be aware of the Tiger mosquitoes throughout Corsica - we both got bitten despite the Deet!.
