Villa très bien située, au calme, à moins de 15 minutes de Chinon. Très grande piscine et logement très bien équipé. Le propriétaire était très accueillant. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

The house is very private and quiet. The decor is quite modern, the kitchen well supplied. The downstairs bathroom in the master suite has its toilet off the kitchen, which isn’t ideal. The outdoor space is well furnished and comfortable. There is an outdoor grill although not a true barbecue.

Excellent week end dans cette très jolie maison très fonctionnelle ! Nous étions 9 adultes et nous avons vraiment passé un très bon week end, la maison est bien placée, au calme et sans vis à vis et à 10 minutes de Chinon. Nous avons pu profiter de la piscine même si elle était encore un peu fraîche. Eric est très disponible. Merci encore Nous gardons l'adresse pour un prochain week end ou une semaine !

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour entre amis dans cette villa. La maison est retapée avec beaucoup de gout et l'endroit est extrêmement calme. Parfait pour un réveillon entre amis.

We have just returned from this property after a week stay, two families of three people. The property is a restored 150 year old railway building which has been converted with a modern interior including suspended mezzanine area. Everything has been done well and is an interesting place to stay with the owner displaying some of his own works (he's a sculptor) including the main dining room table. There is ample space for two families to stay together with 4 beds and two bathrooms and most of the things you need in the kitchen. The real star is the outside space with a large and covered area for alfresco dining and the biggest swimming pool of any villa/home we have rented in the past. The property is in a very quiet area on the outskirts of Chinon, with few neighbours and isn't overlooked in anyway, with electric gates at the front, so is a very safe space for families with children. That said, there isn't much in the immediate vicinity but it is a short drive to Chinon (10mn) which is a lovely town with a medieval fort which is worth a visit and also has plentiful restaurants. Chinon is also a wine growing area (cabernet franc) so there is good wine on hand and nearby you have the chance for cycling (on safe and marked routes), fishing and kayaking so plenty to do if you get bored of the pool. If you're happy driving then the area has lots to do for everyone. Well worth a visit and we highly recommend the property. Finally to say that Eric is a great host and the communication in French or English is excellent.
