We rented this charming house for three weeks in July 2025, hosting family and friends aged 20 months to 95 years at different times. The property is well-situated in the countryside, just eight minutes from Honfleur. During our stay, we visited local attractions like Honfleur, Monet’s Garden, the D-Day beaches, and enjoyed the Velo-Rail at Etretat. Meals around the large patio table were a daily highlight.The house met our needs but essentially offers four bedrooms, with an extra bed on the upstairs landing. Both bedroom and kitchen storage are limited, though the kitchen is very well equipped.

We have just returned from a lovely two week stay at this property. It has everything you need. The best thing is the garden and outside space, which as the weather was beautiful we sat out till late every day. Communication was slightly challenging as we had very little french and the house keeper little English on arrival. We used google translate and got by. Charles messaged via the VRBO website and answered all questions promptly and we were pleased with all responses. The house was minutes from Honfleur which we fell in love with. We brought our 36kg Labradoodle and found France to be very dog friendly. Especially Honfleur. The difficulty we had were finding dog friendly beaches during daytime hours in summer. I can recommend Omaha and Merville-Franceville. There is so much to see and do around here, so the location is perfect. The peace and quiet was also welcome. We had some bad news towards the end of the holiday, my mum passed away in England. We could use the wifi and make the necessary arrangements from the house. Dad could also grieve in a lovely setting and we celebrated with the local Calvados. The horses and wildlife around the house was also part of the experience. If you stay here, please go to the Honfleur market on Saturday, top up on groceries at the large L'eclair, visit Monets house in Giverney and explore the D day beaches. Oh and eat the Oysters, drink the cidre and sample the Calvados. Its part of the wonder of Normandy.

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Urlaubswoche in diesem Haus verbracht. Unsere Gruppe bestand aus 10 Personen zwischen 11 und 83 Jahren. Die Senioren waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Schlafzimmer und angrenzendem Bad im Erdgeschoss. Ihnen fällt das Treppensteigen schwer. Der Rest der Familie verteilte sich auf die Zimmer im Obergeschoss. Das Einzelzimmer entpuppte sich als Bett im Flur. Der Wohnbereich ist sehr großzügig. Alle fanden Platz am Tisch zu den Mahlzeiten oder am Abend zum Spielen. Ebenso auf Couch und Sessel. Auch auf der Terrasse gibt es genügend Sitzgelegenheiten. Die Küche ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, besticht aber durch ihre sehr umfangreiche Ausstattung. Reichlich Geschirr, Besteck, Töpfe, Schüsseln, Gläser und Tassen. Insgesamt ist das Haus sehr sauber. Die Umgebung ist reizvoll, Honfleur malerisch und die Strände nicht weit entfernt.

Nous étions 3 couples d amis avec enfants. Maison fonctionnelles bien équipée. Ideal pour les enfants sécuritaire avec un jardin donnant sur terrasse. Communication rapide et tres bons échanges. Personne arrangeante pour la remise des clés.

Un sejour tres agreable dans une grande maison bien au calme ! Nous avons passés un tres bon moment. Merci.

We loved this house. To be honest the photos don’t do it justice. Very well equipped including downstairs cellar like room with extra fridge freezer, always handy. BBQ’s and sun loungers in garage and footballs and badminton racquets for the kids. The house has 4 double rooms, one with a single bed as well, plus a single bed on the landing. It also has 2 sofa beds in the living room. You need to bring your own sheets and pillow cases or pay extra for them. The shower and double room downstairs was perfect for my elderly dad . The garden views are stunning and we loved waking up to the beautiful surroundings. Very private and quiet. Lovely. WiFi was very good so kids happy! Even better if....the owner upgraded the washing machine and put a decent one in the cellar...the current one wasn’t great and could only take a few items. Would be great too if dogs were allowed...all wooden floors in the house so can’t see a big problem and we would love to come back with our dog who we had to leave behind. We loved Honfleur, so pretty. Big Le Clerc 8 mins away for all you need re shopping... slight issue with the kitchen is that the cupboards are so well stocked with plates, bowls, cutlery etc there’s not much space for any food shopping but we used the table and work surface spaces. In and outdoor swimming pool in Audemer with slide and whirl pool to make a change from the beach and Deauville well worth a visit too. We had the best weather to make our week perfect and a brilliant time in this lovely house. Would totally recommend.

A large house with all the eminenties you need. It’s clean and need. A big garden with a big terrace. The communication with the owners/handler is perfect. We had a very pleasant stay! One tip please update the photos on the website the house is way more beautifull than it appears on the site! Thanks!!

This is a spacious house with plenty of rooms, beds and space, also around the house. It is ideally located, in calm nature (nice hiking paths) with short driving times to Normandy highlights such as Étretat, Bayeux, Rouen, Honfleur, Le Havre etc. A car is however needed here. Beuzeville, some 6 kilometers away, has all what you might need for a comfortable stay (great bakeries for example). We enjoyed the house and its facilities (well-equipped kitchen, barbecue, terrace parasol, laundry machine, TV, DVD player etc.). On the downside, since some of the rooms, furniture and equipment (e.g., in the bathrooms) are a little bit outdated and older, the cleanliness left something to be desired here and there. Perhaps some renovations and renewals could improve that. It is of great advantage to know quite a bit of French, since communication with the friendly woman in charge was French-only. Check-in and -out were however smooth. Altogether, we enjoyed our holidays with our kids there very much, it was a great time at this friendly house.
