Lovely property well suitable for two families of four in beautiful scenery.

Villa Mimosa is set in a stunning location, near to Villefranche-de-Conflent and Prades, to mention just a couple of great locations. The property itself has lovely mountain views and we enjoyed these over every meal. The swimming pool is great and in a secluded spot, with a shallow end and steps down. It was very well maintained and the kids loved it. It really made our holiday. There were plenty of beach towels supplied to go around as well! The house itself is fabulous and very clean. The layout of it was perfect and it was easy to keep it cool during the heat of the day. It's large enough to allow for a family to spread out and not be on top of one another. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. The kitchen is huge, with lots of counter space and every piece of equipment you could wish for. We prepared and cooked wonderful local produce (the close proximity of 2 big supermarkets means that you're never short of anything) every night. The barbeque was great and the table outside meant that we could enjoy our meals whilst taking in the stunning views. Locally, there is so much to do. One of our favourite spots was Villefranche-de-Conflent, with its beautiful shops. We loved the market in Prades (which takes place every Tuesday). We also did various drives; the area is one with many charming little villages and towns such as the hillside village Eus. Villa Mimosa was simply the best house that we have been to in France to date. Thank you to John & Charlotte for being our hosts and being so flexible - we hope to be back soon!

Ett valdigt trevligt och rymligt semesterboende perfekt för 2 familjer i Fuilla, Frankrike. Stora sovrum, frascha badrum, ett rymligt vardagsrum samt ett valutrustat kok gjorde vistelsen avslappnad. Harlig utsikt mot bergen och en varm pool att svalka sig i. Flera trevliga utflyktsmal i narheten. Vi stannade har en vecka i juli 2018 med en annan familj och kan verkligen rekommendera Villa Mimosa!

27 September 2017 18:58 Villa Mimosa was a great place to stay for our first vacation in a privately owned villa situated in a very quite rural location only a 45 minute drive from Perpignan airport ( a convenient place to fly to from London Southend) pre booked car hire was easy to collect with only a short walk from the terminal building to the car park. The villa is well equipped with everything one needs in the way of pots ,pans ,glasses and cooking utensils etc. Our days out were varied and interesting the drive up the N116 to Font Romeu is magnificent good enough to rival the sea to sky highway from Vancouver into the coastal mountains of British Columbia Canada and the A830 Fort William to Mallaig in the highlands of Scotland. There are many spectacular views around every corner. We would certainly rent this villa again to see more of the attractions and places within easy reach a week was not long enough Steve & Heather V

The villa is spacious, with 4 well sized bedrooms, huge kitchen and well stocked with items you'd have in your own home. A lovely private pool with plenty of outdoor furniture. The area the villa is situated in is very peaceful and picturesque. I'd suggest using a car if you are staying here, but during my stay we managed fairly well without one. Overall, a great place in a lovely setting. Without a doubt I would definitely recommend this place to stay!!

Villa Mimosa is a spacious and well maintained villa in a stunning location in the south of France. There is plenty of sleeping room for a large family, as well as lots of living space inside and out so people aren't tripping over each other. The kitchen is well stocked with everything that you would need, and the dishwasher is a bonus. The pool is lovely when the weather is hot and sunny (which is usually the case) and the views from the back garden and first floor balcony are stunning. While it's easier to get around if you have a car, there is plenty to do around the villa itself if you are a fan of walking and hiking. There a number of small villages within 2 or 3 miles of the villa that are lovely to walk to and the forests around the villa are great for hiking. If, however, you want to get out for a day, there are plenty of attractions around - le petit train jeune (the little yellow train) takes you up into the mountains, les grottes des grandes canalettes (underground caves) are a geological wonder and the villa of Villefranche-de-Conflent is like stepping back into history. I would definitely recommend this villa!

My family (2 seniors, 2 adults and 2 kids) spent a lovely week at Villa Mimosa during the May half-term break. The villa itself is very well equipped (my husband was particularly fond of the Nespresso coffee machine) and had everything we needed to prepare a number of wonderful meals. The new owners, John and Charlotte, were very helpful and gave us all the information we needed before the visit and made sure we were able to make use of all the facilities ( such as the barbeque) to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The village itself where the villa is located is very quiet and peaceful, and the mountain scenery and views of Mount Canigou were hard to beat! We managed to find a number of lovely restaurants and shops which were only a short drive away in the amazing town of Villefranche-de-Conflent with the castle of the thousand steps and there were 2 big supermarkets in Prades (which was only a 15 minute drive away). As a family of avid walkers, we managed to go on several wonderful walks in the area which everyone enjoyed (including a short paddle in a lovely, clear, but freezing mountain river). The weather was superb for the entire week (25-30C during the day and then 20-25C at night - it was like having built in air con!). Our grandkids had a great time playing in the heated pool (which was warmer than expected given it was only late May) and the front garden was more than big enough to kick a ball around and play several games of "french cricket". The kids also appreciated the Wifi and the nice big TV that helped to keep everyone entertained in the evenings. Overall, we all had a lovely time staying at Villa Mimosa and would recommend it to all our friends and relations!
