VILLA STANDING A GRABELS

Have just returned from a 2 week stay at this villa with my wife, two 17 year old girls and boys of 13 14, the villa was lovely throughout with the nice benefit of A/C in the main bedrooms and lounge/Kitchen, the pool, gym and other facilities were great and we used them every day. We were met by the owners on arrival and was made to feel very welcome from the off. The short drive to the tram station or direct into Montpellier was easy to navigate and the tram is very cheap. You will need a car to take full advantage of the location and for getting to the supermarket which are about a 10min drive. Would highly recommend this villa.

Wir hatten zwei wundervolle Wochen in Grabels. Wir wurden herzlich von unseren Gastgebern empfangen und nach kurzer Führung durch das Haus konnte der Urlaub anfangen. Das Haus und der Garten bieten alles, was man zur Erholung braucht. Das Haus ist optimal ausgestattet (Küchenutensilien, Bettzeug, Handtücher - alles da). Die Klimaanlage hat in unseren zwei heißen Wochen gute Dienste geleistet. Als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge ideal gelegen, kommt man überall schnell hin. Als Urlaubsdomizil kann man das Haus wirklich weiterempfehlen.

C'était cet été notre 2ème séjour en famille dans cette belle maison de Grabels, et nous y avons eu autant de plaisir que pour le 1er (2 ans plus tôt). Maison et jardin très agréables, beaucoup de tranquillité et de nature. Nous avons apprécié la proximité de Montpellier et l'accès facile aux plages où nous avons fait quelques escapades.

We spent a comfortable two weeks with our 18 year old daughter and 21 year old son and girlfriend. there was plenty of room and plenty of bed linen/towels. The kitchen and basement (with small gym) was well equipped; the electric barbecue outside was excellent at cooking without burning! Very comfy beds. The family were very hospitable on our arrival despite our late arrival (le samedi noir) and trusted us to leave the key safely upon our departure. Great location within short drive to excellent tram into the city - 5 euros for car and ALL passengers. We visited the aquarium, the zoo, botanic gardens, old city, night market, caves, beach, went kayaking... and did a lot of nothing. Tiny downside: very very hot on the terrace with all that concrete when the sun is full on it. But we wanted sun... however, the air conditioning inside was very efficient. Maybe some way of cooling the little upstairs room? We could not even purchase a fan - everywhere was sold out! The baker in the nearby suburb was excellent and there is a fabulous range of good supermarkets nearby. The beach at le Grau du Roi was not pleasant despite its beauty and remoteness - no facilities meant no toilets for all those people and the road there was very very crowded... but Carnon Plage was lovely. Try to find restaurants with mainly French people eating there; many tourist trap restaurants in the city serve food which is not as good as at home! Avoid main popular locations when choosing. We would definitely stay here again. Herault is now our favourite region.

GRABELS est une petite ville accueillante et les facilités pour se rendre à MONTPELLIER sont très appréciables (tram).Quant à la villa,rien à redire!Acceuil chaleureux par le propriétaire.Décoration,propreté,espace vital,matériel à disposition (le propriétaire à même trouvé un vélo pour le petit fils).Nous avons surtout apprécié la piscine et la climatisation!!Je suggère quand même un espace extérieur ombragé par grand vent pour les repas. Entièrement satisfait du séjour.A recommander. H. TELLIER

We spent a sunny, relaxed fortnight in this very well equipped villa taking full advantage of the pool, sunbeds, outdoor cooking facilities, bikes, garage gym equipment and very comfortable beds. The house is located in a quiet cul de sac within easy walking/cycling reach of the village with all basic amenities or you can walk/cycle or drive to the tram line into the centre of Montpellier. There are loads of activities such as go karting, canoeing and rock climbing within easy travelling distance although I would recommend that you have a car to get about. A beautiful, relaxed house ideal as a base for activities or just chilling by the pool.

Très agréable séjour en juillet dans cette belle maison à Grabels! Très bien équipée, cadre très calme et agréable, on a beaucoup profité de la piscine!
