Villa with a pool in the heart of the Vendée, between the Atlantic Ocean and Puy du Fou

If your looking to do nothing but relax and fish this is the place . Although the weather wasn’t that kind to us, so only used the pool one day,it did not alter the fact we came away relaxed and raring to go once home. The property was fairly comfortable but some rooms were in need of TLC.

We have just come back from a lovely 2 weeks at the property with my husband and our 3 children. The house has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and the extensive gardens and pool are an absolute dream. We loved playing in the pool, going for walks along the river and generally just enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. It was about 38km to some gorgeous beaches. Laurent, Amber and Guillaume were all brilliant and such a lovely family. We liked it so much that we have already booked for next year. Thank you.

Lovely location. Beautiful garden. Short drive into town. Property could have been cleaner and the property was quite cold. The mattress needs replacing and the charge for bed linen was a bit steep as we needed to make the bed ourselves Otherwise an enjoyable stay.

Great villa and pool. River with ducks and otters at the bottom of the garden. Laurent has a lovely family. His father Maurice was very kind and helpful.

Myself, my wife and 2 children just spent a pleasant week here. The garden is beautiful, house has been modernised and my boys enjoyed the pool. Quiet location with a large supermarket a few miles away. Negatives are plumbing design issues with the shower rooms ( downstairs floor damaged, upstairs leak and strong odour from drain) which I mentioned to the owner. Also, the upstairs shower room is different as shown in the picture ( no toilet, different shower). However, these small issues will not deter us from returning to this beautiful property.

We had a wonderful two weeks at the Brancaroise. The house is well-equipped and well-kept. It was nice and cool inside and there are some shady spots in the huge garden where you can put down the loungechairs. The owners are very hospitable. Shops and lots of places to visit are nearby and the Longeville beach is just thirty minutes away.

We had a wonderful 2 week holiday in the villa in August. The photos definitely do not do it justice, it's a really large villa with a large spacious lounge, kitchen/diner and a huge garden. We had a very warm welcome from Maeva, who showed us around the house explaining where everything was. The facilities were excellent and it was very clean. We took our own bedlinen and towels, as we really didn't see the point in spending money hiring them which worked well for us. The pool is amazing, a fantastic size and beautifully maintained every day. It's also in such a stunning and peaceful location right beside the river, we took to feeding the ducks nearly every day. The area is great with a lot to do, we tried out two different beaches, went to 'Le Grand Defi' twice and visited a beautiful zoo, all were easily accessible from the house. The only negative is that the only toilet is downstairs and two of the bedrooms are upstairs. Laurent was a wonderful host, answering any questions we had, thanks so much for a great holiday.

We enjoyed our week stay. The garden is lovely and the location by the Yon is very picturesque. And the pool was wonderful in the hot weather. We ate most of our meals outside, looking out over the river. The Tour de France went through Nesmy so we enjoyed an afternoon watching the caravan and then the cyclists. The gite is comfortable and spacious, especially downstairs. What lets the gite down is the lack of a toilet upstairs. There is a footpath alongside the Yon both eastwards and westwards. It is a lovely walk and we saw otters and kingfishers.
