😊: Location. Near to the sea and restaurants.. 😢: It felt like the house had not been occupied for some time as on opening the door we were met with an overwhelming fausty & damp smell throughout house. This remained all of our week stay despite the opening of windows. The Gas boiler was not lit and the consierge could not light it. She said a man would come out that evening however he did not. We were left with no hot water or gas cooker working until mid morning the day after our arrival. A plumber came out after a number of distressed calls & messages to Hoomy. This was difficult as we don't speak French and they spoke little English and the phone answer machines were answered in French. I also phoned Booking com to make them aware of our situation and discuss our complaints. The kitchen, bathroom and toilet were very aged and all in need of complete refurbishment. There was ingrained dirt and rust on the outside & inside of the cooker & oven, therefore I did not use the oven due to state of it. The fridge freezer, kitchen cupboards and their hinges were all extremely rusty. The bathrooms had ingrained dirt on the wall tiles & floor. The floor was really shabby with deep indents. The shower head and bath plug were deeply soiled from lack of cleaning which I cleaned as best I could before I used them. The iron surface was burnt & not fit for purpose. The kitchen radiator and a mobile metal radiator were both rusty from the damp atmosphere. As was the washing machine in the bathroom. We had to evacuate numerous slugs each evening and morning from the kitchen and hallway when we found them climbing up the kitchen walls, cupboards and floors. There were wood lice in the only toilet in the house that was downstairs. There was no proper flush just a piece of wood on a string. There was no hot water in the downstairs sink next to the toilet. There was no instructions to enable us to use the electric radiators in the lounge..
