Waterfront gîte (meublé de tourisme ), just outside Angers

Enjoyed riverside property in quiet location 15 minutes drive from Angers and 5 minutes walk into centre of Ecouflant. Lovely outside space to relax and clean, comfortable interior with everything we needed.

Good facilities, comfortable accommodation, good position for touring the area. General Stores about 10 minutes walk away. Owners were very helpful on our arrival; they live next door but were not intrusive but if we had needed help with anything they would have been very happy to help out. Would thoroughly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. Nathalie and Eric were very helpful and accommodating - they provided lots of help and advice in advance and during our stay. We enjoyed the house a lot - it’s a lovely old building with a simple terrace with the most beautiful views. We watched wildlife, sunsets and boats drifting by - it was so relaxing! The local shop and bakery are only a 5 minute walk along the river. There are several cycling routes nearby which were very enjoyable. We had a great holiday and would happily come back again.

A very comfortable cottage in a lovely location. The views from the terrace are as good as they look in the photos. Nice walk along the river into the village and only a short drive into Angers.

A tranquil location on the banks of the Sarthe looking out over unspoilt countryside. Boulangerie, shop and café in the village 5 minutes walk along the riverside and historic Angers a short drive away. (Would also recommend Cave du Doyenne on the road in to Angers as an excellent and helpful place to purchase a good selection of regional wines.) Well-appointed and comfortable cottage and the proprietors Nathalie and Eric are most charming and helpful. Ideal!

Such a lovely home that was comfortable for our party of five. It looked exactly like the photos. The views of the river are dreamy and a photographer's paradise. Our hosts were very welcoming and kind. We hope to return someday! Thank you!
