😊: Well decorated and the faciliites matched their description, with sufficient explanation to utilise. Bedroom was well thought and comfortable bed.. 😢: Major inconvenience of having to search for the keys in the town center with so many building works and traffic restrictions. No check-in provided at the site, though with helpful response after enquiry to provide support. The narrow and angular wall surfaces in the kitchen area could be covered with foam to be less dangerous for the possibility of bumping head..

😊: The best thing about the apartment was its location. We went to Pau for a Festival of Occitan Music and Culture and the apartment was a mere five minute walk from all of the main stages and venues. If you are coming to visit the museums and sights in the city, this apartment would be ideal for that too. Pau is a gem. Although we never met, (the apartment uses the now ubiquitous "code driven entrance system") the host was really helpful and responded to our WhatsApps almost immediately. The website the Host has set up is perfect for answering most questions you might have about the functioning of the apartment's facilities, as well as offering advice on other aspects of visiting the city. But if it doesn't cover something you need to know, the host will soon reply with a detailed explanation.. 😢: The only downside to the apartment is that it is up three flights of wooden stairs. Luckily, despite my age (71), I am still sprightly, so that didn't bother me much (except for taking the suitcase up on day one ;-) ). But this apartment would not be suitable for those with mobility issues or those for whom three sets of stairs is the equivalent of climbing Mont Blanc..

😊: The location was ideal, right in the centre but on a quiet street. The bed was wide and very comfortable. The host was very helpful and responding fast.. 😢: The ceiling is very low in the kitchen, even for short people like me, so we hit our heads several times the first couple of days!.

😊: Good location. Also Jerome responded promptly and was accommodating with our checkout request.. 😢: Located on the 4th floor with no lift which in itself is not a problem for us but needs to be highlighted for future bookings. Plus the rafters and sky light outside the property door were filthy - covered in cobwebs, not very welcoming. The property itself needs a makeover. A good starting point would be fresh, new, clean towels - sounds like a minor request but quite honestly the towels we were left, whilst ‘clean’ in theory, had some rather dubious stains on. Luckily I had a towel with me otherwise I would have felt uncomfortable using the ones provided..
