3 Charming Gites Sharing Beautiful Pool, Gardens Games Room Ideal for Families

😊: The gites were clean, comfortable and well appointed. The gardens were pretty despite the drought offering a good level of privacy. The accommodation worked particularly well for our large family group with lots of private spaces as well as a fabulous communal area with seating for up to 13 people. The heated swimming pool was perfect and kept the children occupied for hours. We were made to feel extremely welcome by Philippe who went out of his way to help us not just on arrival but throughout our stay. The kitchens were really well equipped with large pots, plenty of sharp knives and lots of serving dishes which made catering for a large group much easier. Overall a great place, so glad we booked it..

😊: The 3 gites at La Chataignerie were a perfect choice for our large group holiday to celebrate a friend's 60th. Each gite was very tastefully and stylishly decorated and really well appointed (esp the aircon!). Comfy beds, nice sofas, lamps, mirrors all exactly where you wanted them. Pool was lovely and the communal outside eating area, communal fridge and games room were absolutely brilliant. Our host Pat and the property manager Philippe were so attentive and when a couple of things went wrong, Philippe sorted them very quickly. They were also really helpful with giving us suggestions for visits and restaurants. All in all a really fab holiday in beautiful accommodation in the middle of the Deux Sevres countryside.. 😢: We didn't dislike anything. If we were being picky, us women thought some fairy lights around the outside eating area and some night lights for the pool would have been amazing! Also, a few more pans for the middle gite...apart from that it was perfect. It's a 15 min drive to a good sized town and amenities so you have all you need close by. But this is a place for people who are happy to drive or happy to amuse themselves, as we were. If it were nearer to a village, it would be the perfect 10..

😊: The setup with three separate units with a shared pool and outdoor dining areas (both undercover and without) was perfect for our trip with young kids and grandparents/aunts/uncles. Air conditioning in every room, well appointed kitchens and really comfortable beds, with an excellent games room (table tennis, table football, darts) and big area of grass for outdoor games when it wasn’t too hot. The information in advance from Pat and then his local agent Philippe who gave us plenty of suggestions for restaurants and sightseeing made us feel really welcome. A big recommend.. 😢: Nothing.
