Beautifully renovated Farmhouse with private pool

😊: Gorgeous house with air conditioning throughout, and all the amenities you could need. The owner Pat and house manager Philippe were so helpful and welcoming, it really felt like a home from home. We hardly left for the whole week!. 😢: Nothing!.

😊: Lovely property in the heart of Niortaise countryside. One of the nicest we’ve stayed at. Ideal for peaceful relaxation and big enough for family gatherings. We stayed five nights as a family of four with two young children and they loved it as much as we did. I definitely recommend the house for spending some quality family time or a peaceful break. It’s well equipped making it easy to settle straight in and enjoy. The property concierge/manager is Philippe who is excellent, very welcoming and always happy to help. Philippe is fluent in both french and English and extremely attentive with great local knowledge for your visit. Both Philippe and Pat the house owner were easily contacted and quick to respond with any questions or help. The location is best described as rural countryside but the small town of saint maixent l'école is in easy reach by car about 15-20min away with a choice of supermarkets etc Niort isn’t far either for a nice day out. We didn’t get to Marais Poitevin "La Venise Verte" recommended by Philippe, which is also nearby but on a rainy day we took the kids to ‘Planete Exotica’ in Royan on the coast about 80min away, when we got back it was sunny and we enjoyed the late afternoon sun in the pool! La Rochelle is around the same drive time also. Basically there is something in every direction if you’re staying a while and want to explore. The house is really well equipped with lots of pans, plates, glasses, utensils dish cloths, sheets, towels etc with a great open kitchen and large lounge space, there’s direct access outside to multiple social spaces. The kitchen leads directly out to both a garden space and Patio & BBQ area which was great for alfresco dining. (Both areas are accessed by a games room too with a pool table and handy drinks fridge!) We loved the design of the house it’s comfy and traditional and it actually feels more like a home than a rental though most of our time was spent in the garden and pool..
