Appartement Sully

😊: This was our third trip to Ile de Re but the first time we had not stayed on a campsite. We chose an apartment in St Martin de Re and were not disappointed. It's great being right in the thick of things, able to walk out in the morning to get a coffee or of an evening to go for dinner. The apartment was really well ventilated despite the hot weather, there were fans in the rooms in the air flowed nicely through the house. The kitchen and the rest of the house are very well appointed. We didn't get any problems with street noise or anything else. It was a great place to stay. We were a family of four, two adults two kids. We hired bikes from Beach Bikes, they were great bikes and they treated us really well. It was easy to park the bikes with the locks provided in a church courtyard near the flat.. 😢: It was a bit of a nuisance having to walk 10 minutes each way to take rubbish and recycling to the nearest recycling and rubbish point. Ideally, I would want to use bins that were stored in the space under the stairs. But this was a small niggle that wouldn't put me off staying at this place again..

😊: Location fabulous. 😢: You have to pay for bed linens 28 euros per person. You need to leave your own rubbish to live cal dump 10 mins walk away. You need to strip your own beds on departure. The bathroom soaps left are minimal not enough.

😊: Very cool apartment. Excellent location.. 😢: Nothing. It was gorgeous. Minor niggles would be having to go buy coffee filters for their coffee machine and additional shower gel and shampoo as those supplied were tiny and only lasted a day. But this is a minor issue and should be just considered as a tip for the host..

Just room to store 2 bikes in main entrance. Entertaining layout, felt very large and airy. Location is perfect if you like to be in the absolute middle of one of the main shopping streets. Busy during the day but quiet in the mornings.<br>#128577; The second double bedroom faces the street, and there is inevitable late night noise as the last of the revellers go home, then the refuse collection arrives pre-dawn. You can close the windows, but then the room can be quite hot. The other bedroom has 2 single beds, but may be preferable as it's at the back and quieter. These other 2 bedrooms are not as spectacular as the main bedroom, so larger groups may need to draw straws to make it fair.

We were a family of five and stayed in this clean and nicely renovated apartment for two weeks and absolutely loved it! The living area is situated on 2nd and 3rd floor. The large kitchen has all appliances needed if you want to cook at home although you have a market at 3 min walk with several caterers if you prefer to take away. The living room is very cosy with a big TV screen. The three bedrooms are huge and comfy. Two nice bathrooms, one on each floor. The windows are double pane so you don't hear any noise coming from the street which was great as I'm particularly sensitive to it. Shops and restaurants are right next door which is really convenient. Wifi was fine all along. Overall, this apartment had everything we liked and we'll come back for sure!
