😊: Location was exactly where we wanted tobr. 😢: The stairs . The entrance steps were dangerous and nit for anyone with mobility issues.

😊: Nothing.. 😢: On the Thursday I informed the host, Sophie, that we would be arriving between 6pm and 7pm. We arrived at the property at 5pm on Sunday and waited for the host to arrive at 6pm. The details on booking.com said the host would meet us in person at the property. 6pm came and went. We phoned Sophie at 6.15pm to find out where she was. She sent us a link to pay the deposit, which we did. The information on booking.com said the deposit would be taken from our credit card up to 7 days beforehand, that didn't happen! This was another statement which wasn't true. Then rather than meeting us at the property Sophie sent us a WhatsApp message in French with the details of where the keys were hidden. We translated this into English and set about finding the keys. By the time we entered the property it was gone 7pm. I have been visiting France for 44 years since I was a teenager and this was the most difficult host/property I have ever dealt with. I asked Sophie why she didn't meet us at the property at 6pm. She said "I normally do meet people if they give me more than 1 hours notice." I said we notified you last Thursday what time we were arriving, that is over 3 days notice which you confirmed was ok. I said why didn't you meet us at 6pm. I received no reply. People have said in their reviews that the communication was very good but we found the communication to be appalling. Given over half the people using this accommodation are English speaking then I find it strange that there is no information at the property in English. This is the first property I have ever stayed at that doesn't have an English version of house information. The property was in need of maintenance. There was a light fitting hanging off the ceiling in the main bedroom. The plug in the kitchen sink was jammed and could not be used. The shower and basin in the bathroom were both very slow draining. You had to have a quick shower before the shower tray filled up..
