😊: Lovely host (the elderly father of the owner, I think). I phoned him (in French) to arrange to get the key. I am pretty sure it is also possible to communicate in English with the son (perhaps using WhatsApp, or even SMS or phone call). Great location. No traffic noise. Good room size for me as a solo traveller.. 😢: I noted in a previous evaluation that the timed light switches (interrupteurs) in the communal hallway could be made more visible for better safety to light up the stairs. Perhaps the owners have fixed this issue now. There was a little noise in the stairwell circa 10pm/11 pm at times..

😊: The location is very handy, just five minutes walk from the Vieux port Metro station. The apartment itself is small but comfortable. The fridge is quiet, and the cooking facilities are fine (hob, kettle, microwave, espresso pod machine with a pod or two). There is an air conditioning unit that can be used if needed. The older gentleman who was my host lived next door, and upon arrival he even delivered some Moroccan mint tea and homemade speciality cookies - so kind! As I speak French well, communication was easy. I needed to phone him to let him know of my arrival. Everything was spotlessly clean.. 😢: One minor point is that the timed light switches ("interrupteurs") in the hallways can be hard to find. (Tip: there is one near the main entrance and one on the landing across from the apartment door). As the flights of steps up to the second floor are a little challenging in the dark, the light switches need to be more obvious. Also, some softer pillows for those who prefer a less firm option would be nice to have, so that the guest could choose their pillow preference. However, I was really happy with my stay - merci encore!.
