Beautiful riverside villa in Entrecasteaux

De omgeving van het huisje en het zwembad is uiterst rustgevend, het huisje heeft duidelijk nood aan wat werk (barsten in de muur etc.), jammergenoeg hebben wij tijdens ons verblijf van 3 weken geen internet gehad hoewel dit specifiek aangegeven stond en ik een week op voorhand nog eens bevestiging had gevraagd als er internet was…

We zijn heel goed ontvangen en zelfs met een flesje wijn om ons te verwelkomen. Heel mooi huis en groot zwembad De vele verschillende terrasjes zorgen dat je steeds optimaal kan genieten van de zon of schaduw. Omgeving was iets minder toeristisch, maar dat was verwacht. De muggen hebben ook genoten van ons gezelschap!

Het huis en het zwembad zijn erg prettig. Rondom het huis zijn diverse zitjes en het huis zelf is netjes schoon. Het huis ligt buiten het dorp midden tussen de wijnvelden. Voor rustzoekers ideaal, voor ander misschien wat geïsoleerd.

We - a family of 5, kids age 19, 16 and 14 and our black lab - spent 2 weeks in the villa. Traffic was much better than expected and were supposed to arrive already at 3.30 pm and were desperate to move in after a 1600km ride. Unfortunately the owner rejected an earlier check in referring to the 5 to 7 pm check in window. We finally arrived at 4.30 pm and had to wait outside as the cleaning lady was still busy. At least my 14 year old daughter was allowed to use the toilette. The first impression of the house was really good. Beautifully located amongst huge oak trees providing lots of shade. Nice and well maintained pool area. The rooms are smaller and not that bright than it appears on the pictures. Overall the house and the furniture appear worn-out and may require some TLC. Cracks in the walls and crumbling blaster. The living room sofa is no longer that white. It is full of dirt spots and simply covered by a throw. In the kitchen we have missed the promised oven. There is only a microwave with grill function. The 2 door American refrigerator including water dispenser is great but unfortunately the bottle depot is damaged. The ground floor bedroom bed is badly squeaky and disturbs the sleep considerably. Some black mould in the adjacent bathroom. The upstairs bathroom and ground floor toilette are in much better condition - if you do not care about loose toilette lids. The pool area is really nice. Huge oak trees provide with a lot of shade. Unfortunately there are only 4 pool loungers available. The loungers mattresses are simply disgusting. The owner offers 4 towels to cover but they are way to small and cover only half of the mattress. The pool is maintained by a cleaning robot running 24/7. A good solution if you do not care that the suction tube is always interfering. A lifesaver was the brand-new 2-burner gasgrill as there is no oven available. Another highlight is certainly the TV set and the large supply on international TV programs. The offered WIFI/satellite internet though is very basic even not really sufficient for standard surfing. Streaming and downloading not at all possible. The house is beautifully located but quite remote and there is no or very limited mobile phone connection. All manuals and appliance descriptions are only available in Dutch even the villa is offered on an international platform to international customers. During our stay the aged garbage bin broke due to normal usage and the owner had to replace it and decided to keep €25 from the security deposit.

Hartelijk ontvangen door de Nederlandse eigenaresse . Schitterend sfeervol huis. Smaakvol ingericht. Goed ingerichte keuken.met Amerikaanse ijskast, Nespresso apparaat en fijn servies. Overal horren. Binnen geen mug gezien. Allemaal leuke zitjes rondom het huis. Zelfs een lekkere veranda. Fijn en groot zwembad. Mooi uitzicht . Centraal gelegen tussen sfeervolle dorpjes als Entrecasteau, Cotignac en Lorgues. Op goede rijafstand van St Tropex, Cannes Nice etc.

Bij aankomst waren mijn partner en mijn dochter helemaal geëmotioneerd. Ik zelf was ook onder de indruk. Alles leek gewoon te kloppen rust, ruimte, natuur, privacy, luxe, comfort, noem maar op! Een prachtig huis op een schitterende locatie, omgeven door niets anders dan natuur. Overal rond om het huis kun je zitten een loopje de wijngaarden in is ook aan te raden. En dan het zwembad en hoe dat erbij ligt vanuit het huis bezien absoluut fantastisch.
