Between Brittany and Normandy

😊: We loved the location as the house was on a quiet lane, just a few minutes' drive or 20-25 mins walk to town centre. It was approx 30mins drive to Mont Saint Michael too. There was plenty of car parking as we were 3 couples in a car each as on a touring 2cv adventure from Wales and England. The house was very roomy with 4 double bedrooms and 2 bathroom rooms. The kitchen and dining area were open plan with a cosy living room snug in the corner. 2 of the bedrooms and 1 bathroom with separate toilets were on the main living area. There was also a glass veranda with double doors leading to an outside deck with table, seating and rattan furniture. The rear views were of the large open garden surrounded by trees and hedges so very private. The large roof space had the other to bedrooms and bathroom and a view area above the Veranda with controls for the electric sun shade to cover the veranda below. It was like a townhouse, so you entered on the bottom floor with a large hall, a private garage on the left, an open garage on the right with all the recycling bins and cleaning stuff. Also a small games room with a keyboard, pool table and bar with seating. The room had a sink and fridge freezer too. This lowered area was great as cool and we stayed in recent heatwave. A spiral staircase took you up to the main living area which was the same level as the garden. You could then continue up staircase to top floor. The house had good WiFi throughout. Unfortunately, we never met Iulian our host as the property had a locked key safe to gain entry and deposit keys when living. We were able to message him and had swift responses and plenty of useful information. We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing and beautiful place to stay.. 😢: The main door had to be keyed open so important to always carry the key to avoid being locked out. The host did warn us about this. We only had 1 key between the 3 couples but it was easy to use the key safe so if doing different things the last couple out left key in safe for first couple back. While fine for us people with limited mobility would struggle with the spiral staircase..
