Chalet Megeve, idéal familles proche ski et centre village

😊: Beautiful chalet, inside and out. Very well equipped and close to all the activities we were looking for. Service from both owner and concierge impeccable.

😊: We liked everything. 😢: Nothing.

😊: We liked lots of things (and we know Megeve very well, and have rented numerous places and stayed in a range of hotels). These are the highlights: - It was well located for access to Jaillet, Princesse and walkable into town (25 minutes). - Easy access to key facilities (Auchan super market, pharmacies, petrol station, wine shop, patisserie, Bello (delicious butcher). - It was quiet and peaceful (couldn’t hear the road or neighbours during the busiest week of the season). - It was well equipped, with a modern and practical design and an efficient use of space. - The fire was exceptional and we appreciated having extra kindling and logs outside. - The boot room and boot heaters were superb. - There was plenty of easy parking. - Julien from the concierge service was brilliant; helpful, professional, attentive but not over bearing. - The owner had a nice touch with providing some optional nice wines to purchase. - They allowed a pet. - Kitchen was well stocked with a range of utensils, pans, baking equipment, fondu set, plenty of glasses.. 😢: These are minor negatives, with details that can easily be fixed. They did not impact the overall experience. - The beds and pillow (only one per person) are very hard. - There was one dish cloth and no hand towels in the toilets. - There were no lids that fitted the pans, or mugs with handles for hot drinks. - It was exceptionally cold when we were there (-10 degrees Celsius). We could not control the heating (this was not made aware to us) - so after a few days of trying with no impact, we asked to have the base level temperature increased. It was marginally better, but the bedrooms were not warm (perhaps a rug on the floor could help?) - We ran out of hot water after one bath and one shower taken in close succession..
