Champagne! Appartement spacieux Reims centre

😊: The apartment was just a 2 mins walk from the bus stop and only 15 mins from the centre of Reims. Reims is a lovely city and the area where we stayed was very quiet.. 😢: When I first arrived I didn’t receive a message with the key code until I contacted the host myself. When we entered the building we found a dead bird lying on the stairs. It appeared the cleaner had left it there instead of removing it. The apartment itself was also not very clean. There was a lot of dust and the cutlery was dirty. The bathroom doorknob had fallen off and both hand soap dispensers were empty and had not been refilled. I messaged the host to ask someone to remove the dead bird, repair the bathroom doorknob and refill the hand soap. However, only the dead bird was removed. The doorknob was never fixed and the soap was never replenished during our stay. The host even asked me to pick up the dead bird myself which I felt was inappropriate. I didn’t think it was my responsibility as a guest to deal with that and I found it was quite odd. I expected the apartment to be properly cleaned and prepared before our arrival but unfortunately the overall standard of cleanliness was disappointing..

😊: The apartment is located in the heart of Reims. It is a 10 minute walk to the supermarket, 20 minutes to Notre Dame cathedral and 10 minutes to Pommery Champagne cellars. Free car parking is available on the street in front of the apartment. Check-in was very easy. I received an email with directions and the code for the door key safe. Inside, the apartment was bright, open and modern. The facilities were modern and we enjoyed staying there.. 😢: This is a comment for visitors rather than a criticism. The apartment is on the second floor of a building without lifts. We didn’t have any problems carrying our bags up..
