Charmante maison dans domaine boisé avec piscine à 500m de la plage

We loved it! The house was everything we needed. It was so peaceful. Patricia was very kind and cared that we had a lovely holiday. The area is great. Patricia helped us hire bikes that were delivered to the site. There was always room at the pool.

In our first visit to the Arcachon Basin, we found this small simple cottage to fit our needs very well. It was comfortable, affordable, quiet (in a car-less vacation cottage park), well set in natural surroundings, well situated a short walk away from the water, woods and the towns of Ares & Andernos-les-Bains with their local oyster fishers and beaches. Patricia was a very helpful and gracious hostess, who gave us plenty of tips for our stay. We think that the cottage is ideal for singles, couples, also with up to two children, who are happy with a basic accomadation. For two couples we think that the cottage would be a bit of a tight squeeze. One fun highlight in our week was a 4am visit from a family of wild boars. We recommend Patricia and this cottage whole heartedly.

I had not visited the Arcachon basin since I was a child and I was wondering if it would still seem as amazing as it did when I was young. I needn't have worried. Patricia was the perfect host - meeting us outside with a smile (even though we were rather late after a long long drive) and provided us with lots of information about the property and the area. The house is located on a site with a pool, cafe and lots of other facilities. It is set in typical SW France woodland, and just a short walk from a salt water bathing pool and the Bassin d'Arcachon itself. The site is safe, friendly and welcoming. The town of Ares is friendly and accessible, and of course you are never far away from the amazing Atlantic coast, it's glorious sandy beaches and big seas.
