😊: Very pretty cottage. Quiet and peaceful. Interesting history.. 😢: Stairs were very steep.

😊: Little quaint cottage at a short distance from Honfleur. Unsophisticated but perfect. Great value for money. We were welcomed with a bottle of local apple juice and a great bottle of cider. At night it’s really quiet and gets really dark. I sleep at home with the curtains open so I didn’t mind that there were none present in the house, but it did get really dark outside so it shouldn’t pose issues for light sleepers either. It’s so peaceful there.. 😢: You need your car to go anywhere. The nearest bakery was like a 7-10 minute drive but we didn’t mind. There is nothing close to the house, literally nothing. No shops, bars, restaurants… Parking in the dead-end-road js not a problem but you need to reverse all the way back out else you risk ending up 10 - 15 metres down the slope between the trees in a tiny stream. You simply cannot turn the car at the property : the slope starts between the house and the barn. Very dangerous! Our first night we arrived in the dark and discovered the next morning that - luckily - we hadn’t made any funny manoeuvres to turn the car at night!!! Could have been a total loss!!.
