Domaine de Champouteau - LA BERGERIE - Grand gîte de charme 5 10 personnes

We stayed with Bruno the last week of August and it was a really relaxing break. The Gite was perfectly equipped for the 7 of us and large enough that we all had our own rooms and space. The gite was well cleaned on our arrival and all communal areas were well looked after too. During our stay there were a number of other guests and families staying in the neighbouring gîtes, everyone was courteous and well behaved around the pool. The location is fantastic with Blois 10minutes down the road with lots of restaurants, shops and things to do. Your was less than an hour away and lots of chateaus nearby. We would certainly consider staying with Bruno again if we were to visit The Loire valley again soon.

We had a fantastic stay at Bruno’s beautiful house! The house is immaculate, large and very well equipped. Excellent layout with beautiful and recently renovated open plan kitchen, dining and living area with sliding doors out to a stunning patio for outside dining with plentiful garden space for games of boules! The pool area was stunning and the pool was lovely and warm and we enjoyed many afternoons here as the weather was hot during our stay in late June! Plenty of sun loungers also. Access to the table tennis table and swings etc on the grounds was fun for both adults and our kids! The town of Blois is a very easy and short 10 min drive and is simply stunning with plenty to do. Castles galore in the wider area, we visited as many as we could fit in and found them all incredibly magnificent and interesting! Chatuau Meung Sur Mer is especially good for kids as it has a large adventure playground and the village itself is beautiful also. We thoroughly enjoyed discovering this beautiful part of France on our holiday!

Fantastic week in a fabulous property. Spotless, well equipped and a very well finished home. Swimming pool, spa and grounds were idyllic Short drive to amenities and regal city of Blois. All in all a fantastic spot to relax and get away from it all.
