😊: Wonderful, at its best..

😊: Excellent location within walking distance of Annecy’s old town. The apartment was spacious, and the air conditioning on the main floor worked well.. 😢: The loft bedroom was unbearably hot during our stay (over 30°C outside). It became impossible to sleep upstairs, and the small air cooler provided was completely ineffective. We contacted the host and asked for a stronger fan, a mattress so we could sleep downstairs with our children, or any practical solution, but we never received any response. The apartment also had several maintenance issues that were not mentioned in the listing. The hot water ran out after only two quick showers, making it impossible for a family to shower comfortably. The toilet had no sink, so after using it you had to touch the dirty door handle and walk into the bathroom next door before you could wash your hands, which is unhygienic. The kitchen equipment was also very old and worn out, with heavily scratched frying pans, chipped plates, and outdated utensils. Guests should be aware that this apartment is not suitable for summer stays unless the loft cooling issue is properly addressed..

😊: The chap that was managing the space for us was a delight. He did his best to accommodate our needs and make our stay as comfortable it could be. The location was excellent, really close to everything without being so central to all the noise. Air conditioning was absolutely GLORIOUS and so needed through this heatwave - even made the stairs with our big suitcases totally worth it!. 😢: The space was promoted as a great space for a movie night. We had ongoing issues with the internet for streaming and sound wasn't working properly either, so don't bank on that. We ended up using our phone data and laptops the whole time. BUT, if you're travelling Annecy and just using this as a hub, you likely won't battle this like we did. Because Europe was going through an epic heat wave while we were there, the aircon was a godsend. But it did mean we were sleeping on a futon the whole week which wasn't ideal (the upstairs loft bedroom didn't have aircon other than a fan so it wasn't setup for us when we arrived) Communication between booking.com and the host was really messy. We paid extra to check in early but on arrival the space wasn't ready and our guy had no idea we were coming early. There's a bad smell coming from the shower, like water isn't draining properly and staying stagnant. The bathroom bench also isn't treated properly so it looks like it's starting to rot and mold where the tap drops on it. Similarly the benchtops treatment in the kitchen feels like it needs a little love as despite lots of cleaning, it's constantly sticky feeling This place feels like one that would be just divine in winter when you can use the loft and all the sweet sweet heating and if you're off adventuring every day. For us we needed a place to recover after a very busy week before so it lacked in a couple of key areas. Needs a little love in places..

😊: We stayed for only one night, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. Communication before arrival was poor, and it was extremely difficult to find the key and access the apartment. The video instructions were confusing, and there was no number on the door, making the check-in process unnecessarily stressful. The apartment does not have air conditioning in the bedroom, only in the living room, which means you would need to sleep on the sofa to stay comfortable during warm weather. The bed linen was of poor quality, and the wooden floor was very noisy whenever someone walked on it. The coffee machine was also unusable because the capsules provided were the wrong size. What disappointed us the most was the €500 security deposit that was placed on hold. This was not clearly communicated, and after our stay I had to contact the host myself to request the release of the funds. This created unnecessary inconvenience and left a very negative impression. Overall, we did not find the accommodation comfortable or well organized, and based on our experience, we would not recommend it to other guests..
