😊: The property is in a great location and the pool and garden get a lot of sun all day (from morning up until the evening). The pool area is secluded and not overlooked. The property itself is a good size and the bedrooms and living room are spacious. You can cycle into Lacanau Ocean and to the lakes and beaches. The development is extremely quiet and peaceful and there are lovely walks for dogs very close by.. 😢: The property needs a lot of upgrading to justify the price being charged. It is very tired in places. The kitchen is very basic and lacked essentials such as trays for the oven and serving spoons. The oven itself is extremely old and inefficient so it took a long time to cook any food. As a result, we only used it once. The fridge was a good size but is also very old and inefficient - it would be frozen at the back but other food in the door or at the front wasn’t kept that cold. There was a clothes airer supplied for drying clothes but no pegs. If it was windy then your clean clothes would end up blowing off and in the dirt in the garden. As a result, we bought our own clothes pegs but would ordinarily expect these to be supplied. There was also only one fan supplied for the whole house. When temperatures reach 40 degrees that’s not enough when the house is meant to sleep 6 people. Ideally the property should have air conditioning installed. The bedding supplied is of poor quality. The fitted sheet in the main bedroom was very old and bobbly so it was very uncomfortable to sleep on. The garden and pool area are also in need of a lot of upgrading. The patio slabs around the pool were extremely uneven in places (and loose) and would be dangerous for young children or those with limited mobility. There is also an ant infestation around the pool (and the pool is littered with dead ants). We tried to keep on top of cleaning the pool of ants but given the pool net had a large hole in it, we were fighting a losing battle. I would add, however, that the agency did replace the pool net after we raised the issue. The pool water turned a lurid green on two separate occasions during our stay meaning there were a number of days when we were unable to use the pool and getting the agency to send someone to fix the issue took some persuading..
