😊: Peace and calm of the setting. Friendly hosts..

😊: The hosts were great. They were there to meet us on our (late) arrival and to see us off after our stay. They were friendly, helpful and hard-working. The wi-fi signal was strong and there was a very good TV with access to streaming services and a DVD player. We were impressed by the cooking and washing/drying facilities. The house was spacious and pretty in a good location for our needs. It had very good parking (though shade would have been even better) and the large, flat, well-fenced garden was ideal for our two dogs. The hosts have been thoughtful in equipping the gite, particularly the kitchen, which had plenty of crockery, cutlery, utensils, cookware and more. It was a very good gite and we would go back again. We thought it was excellent value for money.. 😢: It was our misfortune to go during a record heatwave and the house was inevitably sweltering. The hosts could not help that but we would have greatly benefitted from flyscreens on all the windows and doors to let in air during cooler hours without letting in insects in. Blinds or curtains on all the ground floor windows would have helped to avoid attracting flies, mosquitoes etc when we had the lights on in the house. There was a good fan but one for each bedroom would have been welcome. We would have been really grateful for a bigger fridge-freezer to hold all our fresh food and drinks during the extreme heat, but that may be less of an issue at other times of the year. These comments are not intended as criticisms but rather as suggestions to increase the guest experience even further..

😊: beautiful cottage in a very nice little village! Very clean,everything you need is there! Even a big garden! We will come back to this lovely place!. 😢: The matrass was a little hard but that is because we have a softer one.

😊: Absolutely fabulous location surrounded by peaceful countryside. The cottage was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was at hand. Having a deck to sit out on and listen to the wildlife is definitely a bonus. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer, but having a large garden with washing line was a great bonus. Claire and Richard are very welcoming, but not intrusive. They can give you all the info you need on local places to see and places to eat. Fabulous! The local area is predominantly farming country so plenty of walks and gorgeous little villages and towns to seek out and explore. There is a very friendly cat that visits, that belongs to the owners who live in the hamlet. All in all a fab week.. 😢: Maybe cotton sheets would be better, but that's being very picky!.
