Gîte avec piscine & jacuzzi non privée, pêche, tennis, Wi-Fi

Cancelled upon arrival as damp and dirty!Vrbo cancelled and refunded our stay as they agreed photos showed the property to not be in an acceptable state. Exorbitant last minute deposit requested external to Vrbo - do not pay! I was told this was preauthorisation only in case of damage but was taken despite us not staying. Vrbo have confirmed this is against policy and would refund if they could, but they can’t so taking up with credit card provider. Property damp and dirty throughout and has not been cleaned, let alone decorated for some considerable time. The Host is aware of this as there were 2 air fresheners in the living room, one of which was an empty plug in, which is a fire hazard. Highly unprofessional host as insisted was clean, then blamed us for making it dirty despite us being there for a short time before deciding it was too dirty to clean and make do. Thick spider webs inside and out of dirty windows. Rusty storage heaters. Dirty fridge (photo is after my husband started to clean it then gave up!) and hob with black washing up sponge. Damp inside cupboards with trim peeling off. Broken pedal bin with sharp metal sticking out and she was aware we have a toddler so this is unsafe. Filthy floors (feet black after 10 minutes) and bathrooms covered in limescale and a matt finish on porcelain so clearly not clean. Dirty toilet! Hairs on floor from previous guests. Holes in curtains and poor standard of bedding, although that at least was clean.

4 of us stayed in Les Chenes gite, which is a 2 bed cottage with its own huge area of garden, outside pergola, and a gentle stream bubbling nearby. Surrounded by trees and grass and birds chirping in the trees, colourful dragonflies and butterflies this was an absolute Eden of peace and calm. We LOVED this place and Dorothee and her husband Gwen were very friendly attentive and just decent lovely people! The clean pool and jacuzzi is actually warm. And the grounds so so pretty too. Plus the town of Vimoutiers with a good size Aldi and Carrefour was literally 4 mins drive away. 10/10 I can’t rate it highly enough.

Amazing property- great welcome, clean spacious property within lovely surroundings! Our granddaughter loved the heated swimming pool and hot tub ( as did we)! Dorothee and staff were very friendly and helpful! Will return!

Wonderful location to explore from, brilliant facilities - we spent hours playing tennis, swimming in the pool and taking the bikes out, fantastic hosts with a lovely dog too! Thank you!

We had a lovely summer break staying at Les Patis. We are a family of 4 with teenage girls and it was the perfect mix of time spent in the pool and day trips to Paris and Normandy. The property was super clean and had everything you need - a real home from home. It was great to meet Tony and family and Jessie the dog. I thoroughly recommend for a family holiday or a peaceful break.

This is a lovely cottage on a great site outside of Vimoutiers in Normandy. The cottage was charming and had all the elements we required. As we visited at the end of the season, the site was quiet and we were able to take advantage of the swimming pool & hot-tub. We would recommend Guerquesalles.

We really loved the entire property and really felt calm being there. The hosts are very friendly and accessable. We loved the green scenery, which was well maintained. The pool and jaccuzi were the cherry on the cake! The direct neighbourhood is not touristic at all (read; we really had to search hard in several villages for a place to get an ice-cream with the kids..). If you want to go on daytrips, just accept a bit more time spent in the car.

This was our second stay in the cottage and we are just as happy as last time with our stay. Well kept cottage, helpful hosts and lovely surroundings. The kids loved the pool as always.
