Gîte de charme dans parc d'un château Cathare, proche Carcassonne et Mirepoix

We managed to get together, a group of friends since childhood with our children, to spend a full week vacation during the summer. La Commanderie has been an absolutely amazing place for us, adults and children. Rebecca, the owner, was attentive to everything: helped us find an splendid cook, cleaning ladies, driver, sent us all sorts of tourist, cultural and activities information, gathered wonderful wine for us... It all contributed to make this week even more extraordinary. We are all so grateful for this unforgettable week, and hope we can get together again next year and make it a tradition.

Avec la famille et les amis du monde entier, La Commanderie a fourni un cadre magnifique pour notre mariage de fille. Les invités n'auraient pas souhaité un endroit plus heureux et agréable, près de Mirepoix où beaucoup d'entre eux sont restés. L'ajout d'un sens de l'histoire et de la tradition était quelque chose d'unique, surtout pour notre famille et nos amis d'Australie. Les invités écossais du marié ont également été impressionnés par le cadre magnifique. La fête des mariés a apprécié l'atmosphère royale tout en restant dans le grand château tandis que maman, papa et famille ont apprécié la paix à une courte distance dans le «chalet». Merci à Rebecca de conserver quelque chose qui est important pour la tradition et l'histoire.

Nous avons découvert le Cottage du Château de la Commanderie lors d'un séjour familial avec des petits enfants. Nous avons tout particulièrement apprécié la beauté sereine du parc, le côté chaleureux et confortable du cottage. Tout à la fois en pleine campagne mais pas trop isolé. Nous avons été très gentiment accueillis

Lovely cottage with all the comforts of home and a delightful owner who couldn't be more helpful. We have enjoyed 5 fantastic weeks discovering this area of France. We have enjoyed the local produce and been able to visit a wide range of towns and villages. Thank you Rebecca for your advice about what to do in the area, which restaurants to visit and providing a comfortable cottage for us to live in for 5 weeks.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux week-end dans votre cottage. La décoration raffinée et l’atmosphère qui se dégage tout autour du château La Commanderie nous ont éblouis. Ce séjour nous a permis de nous retrouver et de véritablement, nous ressourcer. Merci.

I had the pleasure of staying in the Chateau for a week, celebrating the launch of a novel I wrote that was translated into French. We all had such a wonderful time, my friends and I decided to extend our stay when it was over...in the Commanderie Cottage. As with the Chateau, I can't remember enjoying myself so completely. The cottage, in its own right, is every bit as appealing as he Chateau. Just smaller. When I needed to relax, all I had to do was wander around the grounds. It put a huge smile on my face. When I wanted something to do, I drove into nearby towns to eat or shop or sightsee. In other words, all my needs were not only met, but taken care of. Rebecca, our host, was charming and helpful and, although it will probably embarrass her, one of the most talented sculptresses I've seen. I bring this up only because it made the whole experience even more complete and enjoyable. In case you can't tell, I love this place and am not afraid to tell the world. So, listen world. "This is the best."

Beautiful house in a fabulous location right next door to the wonderful Chateau de la Commanderie. The charming hostess, Rebecca, ensures you have everything you need for a relaxing stay. There is plenty of opportunity for long country walks and cycle rides and its's just a short drive to Mirepoix where you can visit the excellent market, get all the basic shopping needs or just enjoy cafe society in the charming square.

Séjour très agréable dans un cadre calme et reposant tout en étant très proche des sites à visiter (Carcassonne, le pays cathare...). La maison est décorée avec beaucoup de goût et très bien équipée. L'accueil de la propriétaire est très sympa et elle connaît bien sa région. Elle est de bon conseil. La maison est grande et convient pour les familles avec enfants, à recommander également pour des groupes d'amis.
