The little house is beautiful - very ambient, spotlessly clean and decorated and furnished very tastefully with some nice prints and simple country antique furniture. There was a large vase of roses to welcome us.It is set in very pretty grounds with a nice table and chairs to eat outside. Serge is extremely helpful but discrete and he was lovely with our young Cocker Spaniel. Very highly recommended.

The gite was so comfortable and clean. A lovely quiet garden surrounds the property which is great for dogs and children. We were very happy with both the gite and it's charming host. Thank you!

Nous avons passé une semaine de rêve. L'accueil de Serge est parfait, présent et prévenant tout en discrétion et sympathie. Le gîte est très sympa, chaleureux, bien agencé pour un couple et un loulou. Très bien équipé et bien situé. Le jardin est magnifique, en pleine nature pour faire le plein de bon air. Localisation parfaite pour visiter la région sans faire des tonnes de kilomètres. Bref, que du bonheur !

Notre hôte, accueillant et chaleureux, a été à la fois disponible et discret. Le gîte, très adapté aux températures de la région, est très fonctionnel pour de courts séjours, aménagé et décoré avec goût. Merci à lui !

We had an enjoyable week and a half in Serge’s Gite. It is cosy and extremely comfortable, with a covered (shaded) car parking space. Located in the countryside, close to the canal-ways, it is perfect for a relaxing holiday and as a base for days out exploring. A huge plus is the gite has air-conditioning - we’ve had extremely hot weather and I think we would have melted without it! Serge was very kind, offering advice and also giving us salad from his vegetable garden. The nearby historic village of Auvillar is a must-see with a small Sunday food market, a few nice restaurants, bakery etc - and also Lauzerte, a nearby hilltop town. Venturing further afield, we explored the beautiful south Dordogne - Montflanquin, Pujols, Monpazier, Eymet - and then went further down into Tarn - Albi (amazing Cathedral) and Cordes-sur-Ciel (medieval hilltop town).

This is the first time we have been to this area, and we were looking for something small for two people, in the countryside but accessible to the surrounding area. This is a fantastic property and cannot recommend it enough. It is clean with enough space for a couple or a small family for a week. Location is great, in the middle of the country side - outdoor area around the property is beautiful and really nice to sit out in the evening - lots of space for children to play in safety. Serge was lovely when we met him and bought a nice salad basket, along with wine and water in the fridge. He also responds quickly to messages. One point, whilst there is a lot of household items for cooking and eating, whilst we were there a lot of the basics for food preparation were not in the gite - however, not a problem when you are doing an initial shop. Take some insect cream - this part of the country seemed to be alive with them, and we got bitten everywhere!! Definitely need a car when staying here as it is miles from anywhere, which is a good thing. The walks along the canal are nice in the evening, and you can go exploring for miles in the countryside.

I almost do not want to write this review as I really want to keep this wonderful gite a secret! However Serge deserves to be fully booked every year so justice dictates I should tell others what a perfect stay we had. A wonderful house in a beautiful location. Serge is a lovely balance of helpful and generous without being intrusive. In other words Serge is the perfect host and the cottage is everything we could have wished for. Just go! We will be going back too.
