Gîte le Tapatoru, entre lac et montagnes proche Aix-les-Bains

Nice house in the country side in a calm neighborhood, good place if you with a dog.

Gite le Tapatoru is a wonderful chalet up into the hills above Aix-les-Bains. I thoroughly recommend it as a luxurious and peaceful base for exploring this area. It is large, well equipped, and comfortable. Everything you could possibly need is provided - and even some things you didn't know you needed! We enjoyed the raclette and fondue sets, as well as the pilates and yoga equipment available in the basement room. The bathrooms are great, with lovely showers. There is a great washing line available for drying clothes/towels etc up on the mezzanine. As many other reviewers have commented, the mezzanine floor has quite a low ceiling, so you need to take care if using the upper bedrooms/landing. There is a bus-stop right outside the chalet, with buses throughout the week to take you up to the top of Revard and onto Feclaz, or down to Aix-les-Bains. However, a car is necessary to get further afield. We also visited Conjux and Chanaz, Les Dent du Chat, enjoyed paragliding with Aix-en-Vol, boating and paddleboarding from Conjux beach. Anais is a welcoming and supportive host. Note for UK holidaymakers: Alhtough duvets and pillows are provided, the bed linen is not included in the rental price. It's €10 per person, and you will make the beds up yourself on arrival. Towels are also not provided, but can be hired for €7 per person. But it is permitted to bring your own linen and/or towels. It was just cool. The house is very cozy. Warm and comfortable, like at home.))) House on the mountain and around the fresh air. The view from the balcony is simply stunning. Near there are shops and a lake. The mistress of the house met us, since we could not immediately find a house. Since it was already very dark when we arrived. The mistress of the house is very nice and hospitable. We were four and our dog. Everyone was satisfied and rested. Thanks for an unforgettable weekend. Olga and others.)))
