Historic center on the quays of La Rochelle, 20 metres from the old port

Great location in La Rochelle. Great house with plenty of space. Note: the house is on 4 levels so a lot of stairs to climb especially if you are using the top level bedroom. Well equipped kitchen with loads of crockery. Parking in the area is a very difficult. We used the Aquarium car park where you can buy permits from the machine (cheaper than paying every time you park). There were a couple of issues with the property: the window in the top floor bedroom couldn’t be opened and the fan supplied was a bit weak (the window in the bathroom could be opened). Vacuuming was not done well and there was a lot of dust under one bed. Otherwise, very happy with the property and the hosts. Good communication.

This is a fabulous property in the vibrant Saint Nicholas quarter literally seconds walk from the waters of the harbour and the bustling sea front. A perfect base. The house is well equipped and has a wonderful quirky character to it. It was a pleasure to come home to it for two weeks! I’d definitely recommend the property and would definitely stay here again!

This property is stylish and beautifully decorated and feels like a real home. It has everything you could need. The location on the Quay is perfect. It is possible to walk everywhere and you are only moments from the old harbour and the famous towers. Booking, arrival and departure all went very smoothly. We had a wonderful time staying here.
