La Charmeraie

8 people for a week We were 2 families - 4 adults,4kids. Positives: -House is full of character and it's beautiful. -very welcoming. -plenty of supplies of everything you need. -pool area is gorgeous. -lots of areas for multiple people. -bedrooms are huge. -bed linens are great quality. -2 minute walk to local village - which is beautiful and has all essentials and some nice restaurants. On Wednesday there is night market and Sunday Morning market. Supermarket is 4 minute drive. -Gardens are pretty. Lots of areas for kids to explore. -gates can be locked so the property is secure. -owners were very helpful with any issues we had. - nice outdoor seating areas Negative- -beds are all quite soft (which we don't like but that's personal preference). -house is also quite full of furniture and belongings-especially downstairs - so when guests arrive with their stuff the house felt very full. -It's an old house so also smelt a bit musty and there are cobwebs in places. For those used to en-suites it's worth noting : while there are 3 toilets in the house (one on each floor) -there is only one shared toilet for the 4 bedrooms on the first floor. But overall we had a lovely stay.
