La Chartreuse des Ormeaux, domaine privé en Périgord avec piscine chauffée

We had a fantastic week in this majestic manor. The grounds were beautiful, the pool huge, beds comfy. It had everything we needed and we had plenty of space to spread out which was great as we were a group of four families. What we particularly liked about the house was the beautiful artwork, architecture and decor and the fact that this is a much loved family home. We felt instantly at home and very much appreciated Madam’s warm welcome and the help she gave us. We walked into the village most days. It has a brilliant little shop and lovely patisseries, cafes and restaurants. We spent hours by the pool and visited caves and castles and went canoeing. I think we all agreed it was one of the loveliest houses we have ever stayed in.

Honestly, we cannot say enough great things about this beautiful house and property. We were wowed from the very beginning by the interior design and the comfort of our surroundings. The pool was a lovely respite from the heat. Alexandra is a wonderful host and she made us feel so at home. We are looking forward to returning as soon as possible. Merci beaucoup!

Lovely house, lovely village great host

A lovely house with gardens, exceptionally peaceful and private. Lovely pool and all the facilities. St Alvere also a lovely village.

My family , fourteen of us from 70 to 1 year, had a memorable and joyful two weeks at Les Ormeaux. The house and grounds are magical. An easy walk takes you into the village , and there are many very good places to eat within an easy drive. Alexandra made the process of checking in and out easy; the caretaker Georges was onsite in case of any problems. I envy anyone who finds themself in this very special place!

We have just had a fabulous time at les Ormeaux. We were a group of 3 families would made full use of the facilities and local area. It is equipped with all you could ever need. I would thoroughly recommend this house. Many thanks
