La Cour d'Audouville - Five-Bedroom House

😊: The location was perfect for getting involved in the DDay anniversary celebrations, though it's out of the way for more day to day activities. We definitely needed our own car. The house was great for large groups with lots of social space.. 😢: The house seemed relatively unkept, the yard and the garden were overgrown, the BBQ wasn't clean, many tiles broken inside the property. On 2 occasions the electrics went, though one of these occasions did appear to be a network failure rather than the house. Only 2 showers/toilets between up to 10 people doesn't feel like enough..

Beautiful accommodations. Recommend to anyone looking for style and spacious accommodations. Wonderful host!

😊: Location and character. 😢: It was very dirty in places & run down, the oven had to be cleaned before we could use it, the drains were blocked in the shower and sinks causing water to leak out into the floor and the bath leaked causing water to drip through the ceiling to the lounge below . There were lots of dead insects and cobwebs on curtains and corners of each room. There were sockets that were very loose and detached from the walls, light bulbs were missing (no light for the landing /stairs area . The kitchen sink tap also leaked water which kept going all over the work top , dirty chopping boards and very old utensils dirt utensils in cutlery draws that had crumbs and dirt collected in them! The host did attempt to unblock the drains but was unsuccessful and for the duration of our stay we were unable to use the bathroom sink as the leak was not fixed . We also only had access to 1 shower as the bath was also not able to be used after our first night (stayed for 5 nights) The host explained after mentioning all the issues that the owners do not want to spend any money maintaining the property so it has become run down and also explained that the cleaner is not very good. As you can imagine paying £1200 you do not expect this poor standard of accommodation even in a property of this period, I was very disappointed.

La Cour d'Audouville Le domaine est splendide, charme de la vielle pierre, jardin avant et arrière, pièces spacieuses et multiples cheminées. Les équipements electro ménager verraient à être modernisés. Le wifi n’est pas très performant malgré les répétiteurs installés. A pendre en compte si vous avez besoin d’un connexion internet stable et de qualité.
