La demeure d'Aiglepierre

😊: Notre séjour au château de la Demeure d'Aiglepierre a été merveilleux. L'appartement est très spacieux, avec deux grands salons, une cuisine bien équipée et deux chambres, chacune avec sa propre salle de bains. L'appartement était impeccable et confortable. Le jardin, comme il sied à un château, est immense. Le propriétaire était très accueillant, malgré notre français rudimentaire, et il a tout fait pour que nous nous sentions comme chez nous, aussi bien au château que dans le jardin. L'appartement recèle des trésors cachés, comme une grande bibliothèque remplie d'ouvrages d'histoire (notamment d'histoire de France, mais bien plus encore !). Les précédents occupants ont restauré une pendule de cheminée ancienne, qui fonctionne avec une précision méticuleuse et émet un doux carillon très agréable auquel on s'habitue vite. Après notre départ, son doux rappel régulier du temps qui passe nous manque. Nous y avons séjourné pendant une canicule, et l'appartement est resté agréablement frais à l'intérieur durant la journée (les murs sont en pierre épaisse et les volets en bois sont très efficaces), tandis que les grandes fenêtres permettaient une ventilation optimale la nuit. Nous avons utilisé deux diffuseurs anti-moustiques électriques et n'avons eu aucun problème avec les moustiques. Ce logement très authentique a rendu notre séjour dans le Jura inoubliable.. 😢: Rien.

😊: Beautiful, spacious 1st floor flat in a historic property. The two living rooms are spacious and with period feel; modern kitchen bedrooms and bathrooms. Large mature garden with pond. 15 min walk to the Boulangerie (3 min drive) in the next village. Fantastic base from which to explore the area. Highly recommended.. 😢: Some issues with mosquitoes at night - buy a plug in/spray from the supermarket. (It was very hot so we had open windows). The village is easy to find but the property is not labelled. (The photo is from the garden/courtyard side). If you stand facing the church, it is the large building on the right with a tower! Head for the wooden doors and ring the bell. Be aware there is nothing really in the village..

😊: We absolutely loved our stay in this large apartment in the upper floor of the Château of Aiglepierre! Very large dining and living room and kitchen, nice bedrooms, with each bathroom having its own bathroom. Large, new windows and blinds so that even on hot days you can keep the apartment cool. The apartment is nicely furnished in style with being an old château. One can lie on the recliner chairs in the large park or use the barbecue. The owner lives in the same building and is very friendly and has lots of stories to tell about the Château and the village.. 😢: When we left the kitchen windows open at night when the street lights were off, two bats flew in and it was a bit difficult to get them out..
